Additional Information
A highly sought-after tour graces the Eastern landscape of Madeira, showcasing striking views of both mountains and forests, complemented by some of the island’s finest seaside vistas. The tour provides a three-course meal and is carried out in contemporary, air-conditioned minibuses which accommodate between 8 and 15 passengers in addition to the guide/driver.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult. We need to know the age of the child so that we can supply the correct chair. Strict laws do not allow children to travel on parents lap
- At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide. If there is 5 or less people that speak the same language they may be mixed with a bus that speaks another language. The guide will however be speaking in all the languages required.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
- The tour route can be changed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic restrictions and weather.
- Not recommended for travelers with mobility problems

Eastern tour of Madeira - Stunning views on this trip provided by Secret Madeira. The driver Tony was very informative and told us the history of the island as well as details of the places we visited, He also pointed out the many different plants and vegetation on the island.
Lovely meal reservation at Restaurant O Colin in Santana.

Wonderful Experience - This was an amazing experience. My husband and I really enjoyed it. Gamma our guide was very knowledgeable and his passion for Madeira showed through. We saw the different areas of Madeira and it is totally different to the West side. The viewing points were well spaced out and the right amount of time.

Great day out seeing East of island. - It was a great day and Michael our guide was first class. Bit cloudy when we started but really brightened up. Stunning views, interesting facts and lunch was good. So nice being in a small group too. Festival at Santana added to the day as so many people wearing traditional dress.

5 girls from USA - Tony was super fun. Loved all the stops he was very knowledgeable flora and vegetation.
Have to get PONCHA at John’s. The trout farm is educational.
The forests are beautiful and you are above the clouds.

East coast delight - Lucy was an excellent guide and kept us informed of all the sights.
We were collected on time and even though we were delayed slightly nothing was left out of the tour.

Excellent day trip - We really enjoyed the trip. Michael our driver/guide gave us a real insight into the areas we travelled through.
Good lunch, plenty of breaks and the rum factory was an interesting visit.

Interesting itinerary,... - Interesting itinerary, perfect weather and excellent guide on an historic anniversary day. Enjoyed the lunch in Santana and rum factory tour afterwards., Only sorry we had to return early to our ship.

The Best! - What a wonderful trip. Lucy our guide was fantastic. Her knowledge of the island was excellent. We went to what I consider to be the most beautiful areas. The stops were paced well. Our driver was extremely safe ( necessary on some roads). Highly reccomend.

Levada walk - The tour guide told us the Levada walk was 45 minutes, which was a gross underestimation to go to the Balcoes and back. Consequently we had an injury trying to rush back. In future please give correct information.
