- Park and National Palace of Pena - Designed to be visible from anywhere in the Park, this Palace is surrounded by lush forests and gardens featuring over 500 tree species from around the globe.
- Centro Historico de Sintra - Sintra’s historic center is an open-air museum brimming with magnificent treasures. Nestled at the base of the Sintra Mountains, the village served as a royal retreat for many years. Its rich vegetation conceals stunning castles, palaces, gardens, and farms.
- Cascais - Enjoy free time in Cascais for lunch (not included) or take a leisurely stroll and snack in this popular resort, often referred to as the Portuguese “Monaco.” Once a Roman fishing village, it continues to attract visitors and residents from around the world.
- Cabo da Roca - Known as “The Snout of the Rock” or “Where the Earth ends and the Sea begins,” this is the westernmost point of Europe, immortalized by the poet Camões in “Os Lusiadas.”
- Lisbon - On the return from Cascais, pass through the Lisbon district, famous for its monuments that embody the epic history of Portuguese Discoveries, such as the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the Torre de Belém (Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower).
- Mosteiro dos Jeronimos - This former Portuguese monastery of the Order of S. Jerónimo from the 17th century has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. It is the finest example of Manueline architecture, also known as “Portuguese Gothic,” with notable facades, the Church, and cloisters.
- Torre de Belem - Officially Torre de São Vicente, Belém Tower is situated in the parish of Belem, Lisbon. Originally surrounded by water, it stands on the right bank of the Tagus River, where Belém beach once lay.
- Padrao dos Descobrimentos - Positioned prominently on the right bank of the Tagus River, the original monument was erected in 1940 for the Portuguese World Exposition to honor historical figures of the Portuguese Discoveries. The current concrete and stone replica was inaugurated in 1960. Standing 52 meters tall, the monument resembles a caravel, led by Infante D. Henrique, followed by 32 historical figures who contributed to the Age of Discoveries, including King D. Afonso V, Vasco da Gama, Pedro Álvares Cabral, and Fernão de Magalhães. The earth-facing façade is cross-shaped, adorned with the Sword of the Order of Aviz, a major travel financier.
- Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco) - Praça do Comércio is Lisbon’s most significant square, serving as the city’s maritime commerce gateway for decades. Built on the site of the Royal Palace destroyed by the 1755 earthquake, the square is bordered by buildings on three sides and opens southward to the Tagus. Historically, merchant boats docked here, making it Lisbon’s port.
- Miradouro da Senhora do Monte - Located in the Graça district, Senhora do Monte Viewpoint offers a breathtaking panorama, being one of the highest points in Lisbon. Its half-moon shape provides a wide view of the city, including the Graça Church, the Tagus estuary, São Jorge Castle, and the Mouraria rooftops. Further sights include the lower Pombaline, the Convento do Carmo ruins, Serra de Monsanto, and Penha de França, all marked on a tiled panel for easy identification by visitors.
