Amazing!!! - This was my first day in Madeira and what an amazing trip!!! Sammy picked me up from the hotel right on time, and we spent a short while collecting a few others. The group size was great - only 12 people. The walk itself is stunning, and we caught a fantastic day. The walk is moderate, but quite technical - you have to watch your feet. Sammy was such a fantastic guide, honestly. Providing facts, keeping everyone safe, looking after the levada himself... This tour is one of the best things I have ever done!

5-Star Mountain Guide and Tour - The wife and I were taken on a truly magical 1/2 day tour by the most expert and most amiable Fabio, a fully qualified mountain guide with whom conversation flowed as silkily as the water in the levada. Fabio's knowledge of both the forest's flora and the island was captivating. It was the perfect audio accompaniment to the sensational widescreen panoramas we delighted in during our 3.5hr walk. There's a great cafe at the foot of the climb serving delicious prego sandwiches and homemade poncha with will set you up nicely for an afternoon siesta back at your hotel. A 5-star Madeira experience. Obrigado Fabio!

Good Levada walk - We stopped for coffee and toilet facilities going and returning from this walk . Pickup at our hotel was early.......so we were not late!! This was our first guided levada walk and Jenni made it interesting. She led the walk with another guide acting as 'tail end Charlie' although I doubt if we could have got lost. The only potential for going the wrong way was clearly marked. we knew we would be returning via the same route, but it was still a little disappointing (we had walked part of the Levada do Tournos earlier in the week on our own and that was blocked after Curral much to our disappointment). This was a pleasent walk with no strenuous stretches and no vertiginous drops. It was wet going under the waterfall -twice!! Thank you Jenni and friend for a pleasant and safe trip.
