Love my tour guides! - Loved Manuela and Jose! They made the day so special. The winery was just OK, and the food at lunch was just OK, but sitting outside on a gorgeous Fall day made up for it.

Brilliantly run trip in the stunning Bouro valley. Excellent value for money. We highly recommend. - We had a brilliant time on this trip. Our guide Ricardo was great: very well organised and informative but also super laid back and great fun. The driver, Vitor (hope I've got that right) was also very nice, and negotiated the windey roads up to the wineries expertly. The trip was great value for money: We did two vineyard tours and tastings (one of wine, one of port) both with really knowledgable guides. We had a very nice three course lunch with free flowing wine at the first one. We also gad a lovely boat trip on the river - with another lovely, knowledgable guide who was great fun . We cant fault this trip atall - it was great.

Porto port party - Guide Igor and driver Albano gave us a fun and memorable day in the vineyards of the Douro Valley. There was an awful lot of wine, much of it before a late lunch, so make sure you eat a big breakfast beforehand otherwise you’ll have to be carried back onboard the bus!

Fabulous don’t miss! - Marni did a tremendous job! Great tour, beautiful tour very informative. She was fun and interacted with each of us to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Port tasting was my favorite but I love port! Great explanation I learned lots. Lunch was good, plenty of food and wine. Wine tasting was great! Then a very relaxing boat ride before we drove back to Porto. Do this trip, don’t miss out on the amazing wine, views and fun!

Very good trip - winery and wine shop with great river cruise - Had an incredible day! Good weather made the day even better. Forgot the name of our tour guide but she was great - knowledgeable, fun, energetic and a good communicator. Highlights of the trip:
- winery tour and tasting - beautiful location and great, great tasting wine
- Douro River cruise was lovely. 1 hour is plenty and there were plenty of seats
- morning coffee break was timed well and gave us a chance to souvenir shop
Other parts
- lunch was OK. Nothing special. Would’ve been nice to be at a restaurant with a view or better food
- second wine tasting was also just OK. It was a tight space and not a winery but more of a wine shop. Would’ve preferred a second winery or more of a focus on olive oil
- wished we would’ve left sooner and gotten home sooner so it wasn’t such a long day
All in all a great time.

Well Organized Douro Valley Tour - Our guide, Igor, was knowledgeable about Portuguese history, enthusiastic about the wine tours and considerate of the tour participants. Enough time was allocated at each site so adequate explanations could be given.
The driver was very competent.

Some great experiences but some work to do. - So much to love about this tour but some disappointments. The Duoro Vkaleyvwas amazing and the guide Igor was personable and fun. The driver was incredible. There are some right turns and he did it with ease. The lunch was good without being great and the wine was free flowing. The downsides were the organisation at the beginning. All the tours left from the one spot and it was mayhem. After finally getting on the bus (not the minibus or van as advertised) we stopped 1/2 hour in for morning tea. The problem was so did every other company and in the same place. It wasn’t relaxing. Our wine tasting at the first place was ok as half the group went in the boat ride. Our guide at the winery was very inexperienced and it showed. We also had to wait 1/2 hour or more the bus to come after we had finished. Also note the tour took 11 hours with many hours driving.

Unresponsive! Very disappointing! - I attempted to reach the tour operator, as instructed on my receipt 4 different times, beginning 6 days before the tour date. I did not receive a reply until less than 24 hours before our departure time. Because of the delay in their response, we were unable to make the tour. I have used TripAdvisor and Viator many times before and never had issues. In the end, they refused to refund our money. What a huge disappointment and now a battle to get a refund for the 4 of us.
