Loved it! - A very well-run tour. Organized, lots to do in one day, but we never felt rushed or stressed. The bridge was all ours first thing in the morning. The steps were tiring, but worth the effort. Lunch was great! The stops in Aviero and Costa Nova rounded out the day perfectly. Our tour guide, Joao (JJ), was courteous, friendly, and shared his love for his beautiful country (Portugal). He made it a truly enjoyable day and a highlight of our entire trip for our family. We recommend this tour!

Amazing guide = amazing day! - Dani was an incredible guide! He was prompt to pick us up, informative throughout the day, funny & kind. He took the time to get to know each of us, which made the day much better. The walkways and suspension bridge were very awesome, and we loved that it was more of a walk than a hike. We also got to stop at a few different locations and we were given free time to explore. It was a great day!

the tour guide is funny.... - the tour guide is funny. Like the hiking part a lot, hope to stay longer in Aveiro …. Wish to go to the second part of the hike as well, seems the picture was taken from that part. Lunch was delicious

Fun packed day - Great tour from our guide Dani. We enjoyed all the stops on the trip. There was 3 different choices for lunch too. It was great to have a dedicated time on the bridge before everyone else had access.

“From Heights to Canals – One Epic Day in Portugal!” - We kicked off the day with the breathtaking Arouca Suspension Bridge, followed by a scenic hike along the Paiva Walkways—absolutely stunning! It does require moderate physical activity, but it’s manageable and so worth it. Lunch in Metzinhosh was delicious, and we ended the day in the charming town of Aveiro, known as the “Venice of Portugal,” with its beautiful canals and colorful boats. Our guide, Dani, was fantastic—fun, knowledgeable, and so attentive. He made the day smooth, enjoyable, and truly memorable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the best of Portugal’s nature, food, and culture!

Onward and forward! - Would recommend this experience to all. However, mind that it was very hot. There are places to rest and you walk at your own pace but once you begin you have to finish. No turning back. I am a senior and it was hard on my legs. I am in good shape and I was challenged to the finish line. I rested and persevered. Beautiful views!

Arouca suspension bridge and Aveiro - Our trip with Tomas to the Arouca 516 suspension bridge, Paiva walkways, Costa Nova and Aveiro was great! A highlight was the delicious lunch we had in the town of Arouca at a local restaurant. Every part of the day was well managed and memorable. Tomas took very good care of us and told us a lot of history about the area. I highly recommend this tour, especially with a ln amazing and caring guide like Tomas.

Having Fun in Portugal! - The walkways and Averio tours were great! Especially our tour guides Dani. He was very informative and his English was very good. The tour group was small and we were given adequate time at our stops to explore on our own. The lunch was very good at a small local restaurant that served authentic Portuguese food. I had the veal and my wife had the fish.

An experience to remember - An experience to remember! João our tour guide was amazing. Every step of the way was enjoying. The day was perfect for this activity. The sites at Arouca suspension bridge along with the Paiva walkways were amazing. Too bad we couldn’t take a dip in the river… João was very engaging and full of historical facts along with having a witty humor. Very knowledgeable about Portugal. He also gave us a perfect LOCAL restaurant to try the famous Francesinhas at O Bom Amar restaurante! They were delicious but bring your português A game because the restaurant does speak anything else. Luckily we did. A lot was accomplished in this 9 hr tour. A definite YES to all that would like to take this tour.
