I was looking for... - I was looking for something fun to do with my 11 year old Granddaughter in Portland and this was perfect! We sampled some interesting flavors from 4 different shops and had the option to get a full scoop of any flavor we wanted. We loved it!

The tour guide, Kayla,... - The tour guide, Kayla, was quite punctual to the meetup spot. Throughout the tour, she was nice, attentive, and informative about local areas.
I appreciated how she had fun bits of information to share regarding each ice cream parlor. While we only visited four parlors, she even told me about a frozen custard shop residing in downtown Portland (Black Cat Frozen Custard).
Besides being informative and knowledgeable, Kayla was quite pleasant when it came to small talk. Definitely would recommend her for future ice cream tours.

I was traveling solo to... - I was traveling solo to Portland and a friend recommended Beau’s ice cream tour. I was very pleased with the selection of ice cream shops on the tour because they were all high quality ice cream shops with unique flavors. The flavors were all focused on local ingredients and seasonal variations. Beau was very informative about the ice cream, the area and general food recommendations that he pointed out as we walked.

Go for it! - My husband and I are locals who were looking for something a little different to do and we stumbled upon the ice cream tour. It was wonderful! Our tour guide Kayla was quite pleasant and knowledgeable about the neighborhoods we were walking through and the businesses we were visiting. We test-tasted numerous ice creams at each location and found some new favorites. In the end, I am amazed to report that my new favorite ice cream turned to be VEGAN! Who'd a thunk???

Great ice cream, and good company on a walk. - Early in the season,we were Kate's only clients for this tour. No matter, she was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to walk and talk with. Four stops to taste a multitude of ice cream flavors and have a scoop of our favorites. Can that be bad? No! If you have the time, it's worth the money. Remember to tip your host. It is a 2-mile walk, so be prepared.

Don't waste your time or money! - I really waited a long time to write this review as I gave the vendor the opportunity to respond to an email that I sent them directly. We booked the ice cream for a group of us. We were 5, but ended up being 8 as 3 of our friends joined in last minute. This was an added date to accommodate us on a Monday. The tour was pretty simple, we went to 4 different ice cream places and tasted samples and were allowed to order a kids scoop. I will preface this with I have done food tour all over the world. The best I ever took was in Portland on my last visit and now I can say my worst was also in Portland! Part of the thrill of a food tour, besides trying the food is the information you get while on the tour. I can honestly say that I learned more from googling the places than I learned from our guide. While she was nice and friendly, the only information she shared was when I specifically asked about the neighborhood we were walking through. She didn't talk about the place we went into other than sharing her favorite ice creams at each spot. She also shared that many ice cream shops have closed over the years. Also, the first location we went into was surprised we were there. Our guide said, "She had never seen the person working there before today." As someone who is a HUGE ice cream lover, I would've loved to know why these shops chose this area, how the places decide on their unique flavors, a little about the community they are in and other tidbits about the area. I will say that the ice cream we tasted was great. However, we could've saved a lot of money and just visited them on our own. All 8 individuals in our party were disappointed in this tour. I truly felt badly as i was the one who found it, contacted the company and booked the experience.
