What an amazing... - What an amazing experience! It was a little overcast, but the fog and rain made it such a misty and hauntingly beautiful walk/hike. Our tour guide, Sarah, was so kind and knowledgeable and kept us great company. Would highly recommend taking this tour :)

Excellent - Sarah was great. She was knowledgeable and friendly. I like how she picked out some edibles for us to sample during our walk. I very much enjoyed the walk. Highly recommend this tour.

Bit of a Hike but Amazing Views - Certainly a bit of a hike but well worth it for the views. Our tour guide was born and raised in Portland and certainly knew all about the Forest and the surrounding areas. At the end of our tour we went up to the Japanese Gardens which was also worth the visit.

Nice morning! - Such a nice experience real close to the city. Sarah told us so much about the area and the plants and animals who live there. Would missed quite a few scenes without her. You need to be a bit fit. Because there are a view hills.

Hiking Portland - Excellent, highly recommended. Sarah W. our guide was the best, slowing us down to a nice pace to appreciate and enjoy the experience. Sarah was very knowledgeable about the history of Portland and seemed to love pointing and providing info on many of the plants that we would not have noticed. Truly gained an appreciation for looking at the finer details for future treks, beyond Portland. Thank you Sarah and Around Portland Tours.

Nice tour of the forest in the city! - We learned a lot about the plants and history of Portland. We were impressed that the tour was not cancelled since our party of 3 was the only group. Sarah spent a lot of time with us and was very knowledgeable about the area. I suggest wearing hiking shoes and dressing for a slightly challenging walk. There is a good uphill climb involved, so if you are not fit you could have a bit of a time handling it.

A great way to spend a vacation Sunday morning! - Our guide was quite informative and the sights quite captivating. Being from "dry country," the wetness of ground and air was not as comfortable as hoped, but a good time was had. Two old folk (70+) did not hold up things too badly, and we all got to the end in reasonably good shape. We would recommend this hike to anyone who is in reasonable physical shape and wants to enjoy a forest environment in the midst of a metropolitan area!

Nice long hike through the forest and neighborhood - Nice hike through the forest. Sarah took us on a long hike up to the Pittock Mansion, then down through an upscale neighborhood to the rose garden. Hike could easily have been done without a guide through a bit of research. Overall I would say it was just a pleasant hike. Wear good comfortable hiking shoes!
