Beautiful & authentic experience! - This was my favourite cooking class experience. I loved that the produce we used was all from Carlo’s farm, which you get to go down and pick yourselves! The food was delicious, Carlo is an amazing host & chef, and the view was gorgeous! 100% recommend.

THE BEST COOKING CLASS IN SICILY - Cooking class with Carlo is an absolute must if you're visiting Palermo!
Carlo is a fantastic chef who shared with us traditional Sicilian recipes for making pasta and cannoli. The entire experience was beautifully curated from a tour of the local garden where we picked fresh ingredients ourselves, to a relaxing welcome drink and aperitivo, all the way to the hands-on cooking session, where Carlo guided us step by step.
Every detail of the class reflects Sicilian symbolism, tradition, and aesthetic.
Carlo is not only a great cook but also a warm and thoughtful host, offering us useful tips not just for cooking, but also for exploring Palermo. ☺️
This was a true Sicilian experience we’ll never forget made even more special because we celebrated a birthday during the class, with Carlo helping us organize everything 🥳🎂
We wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone, this class will leave you inspired, full of joy, new knowledge, and of course… delicious food! 💪🏼❤️
Grazie, Carlo!❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful sunset feast and best cannoli ever - a highlight of the Palermo trip! - Our group of six had a wonderful experience being invited into Carlo and his family's beautiful home to pick vegetables from the garden and make pasta and cannoli from scratch. Carlo and his family were very welcoming and warm, and the class was well-paced and easy for anyone of all cooking skill levels. We couldn't get enough of the cannoli - which we thought was better in taste and texture than the famous cannoli from the monastery in Palermo! It was lovely to cook and eat outdoors as the sun was setting. We left with great memories and recipes that will certainly be used again!

100 recommended - Carlo is amazing - Carlo was the most friendly, hospitable and patient host. We had one of the most beautiful experiences preparing, cooking and eating at his beautiful home with the most gorgeous vistas of Palermo and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It’s always better to learn authentic Sicilian cuisine from a local, and with Carlo we were in the most experienced of hands.
We were all welcomed and given a tour in Carlo and his family’s vast garden, growing arrays of mandarins and olives and all sorts of fruits and vegetables. We each picked basil and tomatoes, which were going to be put together for the dishes later. Then, we were treated with a variety of different antipasti, my standout being the panino with mortadella, stracciatella and a slice of lemon (!). These little plates were all accompanied by a glass (or two) of Prosecco.
Carlo then gave us a thoughtful and in-depth masterclass in making cannoli and tagliatelle from scratch. It was our first time making both and an experience I won’t forget. It was a really enjoyable process and Carlo gave (of course) the best hands-on tips and advice. We even got to take printed recipes and a kitchen utensil at the end to help us to recreate these again at home, which will definitely be happening!
Once finished, we rounded it off by eating our completed meals at the table. We started with a caprese (with the tomatoes and basil picked from the morning) and then tucked into our tagliatelle with one of the freshest basil pestos I’ve ever had. Wine was dispersed across the table and it was a good laugh and chat all round. We polished it all off with the cannolis and they were absolutely delectable.
Carlo and company have really created a unique yet personable experience and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Palermo to swing by and take this experience. It really completed our trip and it’s the best feeling to bring home new skills more than anything else. He is truly amazing and I would go back in a heartbeat on my next travels. A big shout-out to Adriana and Mariella, who were wonderful chefs and assistants throughout the day.

Cooking class with a Family touch. - I had one of my all time favorite moments in my travels to Europe. My nieces and I took a private cooking class with Chef Carlo in his home in Palermo. We learned how to make homemade Italian cannolis and Basil Pesto. We had sandwiches and bruschetta for appetizers. Chef Carlo Di Bartolo was an excellent teacher and was assisted in the cooking class by his sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Chef Carlo showed us his gardens of basil, tomatoes, rosemary, olives, mandarins, and lemons and we got to pick tomatoes and basil that he used to make a delicious caprese salad for our lunch. Even though I love to cook, I have never made my own pasta. It always seemed too complicated, but it really isn’t. I enjoyed learning how to make pasta. The flour they use in Sicily is the same brand I use at home. The girls seemed to enjoy themselves. Breathtaking views during our class and great to cook with our “classmates”. Chef Carlo and his family were so incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Special culinary memories were made today in Palermo Italy. Highly recommend this class with a personal, family touch!

We prepared pasta and cannoli on the back deck and then ate and drank while enjoying the a gorgeous view. Carlo was so attentive to our comfort and went out of his way to find dairy-free options for my son. We loved every minute and my son was inspired to make pasta from scratch as soon as we returned home. Highly recommend spending part of your day with Carlo!

BEST experience! - This was our favorite experience by far. Carlo was an amazing host and taught us so much about cooking in Sicily. We LOVED visiting his beautiful garden and learning how to make pasta and cannoli's. His hospitality was perfect and he also taught us so much about Sicily and family traditions. His wife also helped us with transportation to the location so it was one less thing to worry about. We are so happy that this was an option and will definitely do again!

Wonderful time! - Carlo was so fun! The food was amazing and his family farm is beautiful and full of history. They even helped arrange travel to and from. It was such a great experience with my girls - and if my little daughter didn’t eat all his tomatoes from the garden ;) you have to put this on your plans. Thanks for a great evening with our family and yours!
