Treked both 8 and 10 day treks. - This was my second trek across the Kokoda Trail with Adventure Kokoda, and would recommend them to anyone thinking about taking on the challenge. Jake’s knowledge of the Kokoda campaign, the respect he has, for and from the PNG carriers, and with the people living along the trail, is something to be admired. AK’s work behind the scenes supporting the Kokoda Trail Communities, Schools, Medical Centres, and that the carriers all live along the trail, is reason enough alone to choose this company. If you can spare the time choose the 10 day trek.

What I expected...and much more - I trekked with Adventure Kokoda for ANZAC, as i am interested in military history. I was not disappointed. The Adventure Kokoda trek leaders have a passion for the history of the track, and an intimate knowledge of the stories that go with the stunning scenery and people along it. Our Trek leader Peter Morrison was professional and unflappable in his leadership, and has a great relationship with the people and elders along the track. I could not recommend Adventure Kokoda highly enough.

Kokoda Track - Wow - Kokoda Track is a great experience. Jake Leske (tour guide) clearly knew his stuff and balanced the need for historic WW2 knowledge, information about the indigenous locals and our personal safety really well. Great experience with Adventure Kokoda. - I did the 10 day premium Kokoda with Jake. It was a bucket list achievement for me and Adventure Kokoda, under the leadership of Jake, made it beyond my expectations. We had a fanatic group of people, and the porters made it even more special. If you are thinking about doing Kokoda, just do it! Adventure Kokoda is definitely the trekking company to get you through it.

Life Changing - We booked 12 months out and knew from day one we’d chosen a professional outfit. We went with the 11-day trek and are glad we did, it gave us the time to really immerse ourselves in the experience. We had an awesome group, plenty of laughs and great conversations throughout. We were lucky to have Peter Morrison as our trek leader, and what a leader he is. His passion, knowledge, and deep respect for PNG, the local communities, and the stories from the war took the whole experience to another level. I’m a big believer in “you get what you pay for,” and we definitely did. I can’t recommend this enough, whether you want to better understand the history, gain a glimpse into what our young soldiers faced, or simply challenge yourself and see what you’re truly capable of.

Adventure Kokoda - The right choice! - The Kokoda Track was a challenge and an adventure that I had set myself to complete. After extensive research we decided to complete the track with Adventure Kokoda. This was the best decision we made. From the initial contact with the company we felt that it was the right decision. All communications and information were spot on. On arrival in Port Morseby, the group was met by the staff and they immediately starting building a rapport with all trekkers. Our accommodation in Port Morseby was great and met all requirements. When on the trek, the PNG staff were amazing and so helpful and supportive. Our tour guide, Peter Morrison, was a wealth of knowledge and I feel that his insights and knowledge of the Kokoda campaign was invaluable. I could not have asked for a better guide. The 10 day trek was a perfect length of time. The 10 days allowed us to do slight deviations off the main track to look at significant points. We never felt rushed and were always given time when needed. Our campsites were brilliant, tents were high quality and always set up in the right positions. The food provided for us on the trek was plentiful and ensured we were fuelled for the track. I would highly recommend Adventure Kokoda to anyone interested in completing the Kokoda Track.

Challenging, rewarding and educational - I highly recommend trekking with Adventure Kokoda. Jake was our trek leader, his leadership and his ability to relate the stories of the Kokoda campaign at the various battlesites was second to none. His care for the group was also appreciated and known by the group.

Adventure Kokoda with Pete April 2026 - Experience was unreal to trek with the team we had with Pete Morrison our leader was the ultimate. Pete’s passion and knowledge not only on the trail but the history and emotional attachment he has definitely brought our group’s heart and soul together. Experiencing a delay with our helicopter drop midway Pete managed this to a ‘t’ I’m sure he was stressing internally but kept us all up beat and positive. Could not ask for a more positive professional leader. Thank you Pete so much. Carrie

Kokoda trek for sons 40th - My son asked us to do the Kokoda with him and a 48yo mate to celebrate his 40th birthday. We carried our own packs but from the 3rd day to the finish 2 of their boys helped us navigate the steeper sections and we could not have completed it without their assistance. There were 2 ladies and 18 guys in our group and they were very encouraging to us oldies and inspiring. We all had a few challenges along the way but no one complained. None dropped out and we all finished strong together. Pete the leader was great with his depth of military and local history and obvious strong bond to PNG. The porters, cooks and staff were unflappable and a credit to the whole process. It was painful, strenuous, exhausting, terrifying(at times) and also calming, mysterious and uniquely beautiful. So glad we did it and highly recommend it as a singular challenge to anyone who wants to extend themselves. We we're told "It's no Camino" - and it surely isn't, but on reflection it was a type of pilgrimage of respect to the brave Diggers and locals who suffered so much 80 years ago to protect Australia Vale to them 🇦🇺 🇵🇬
