• Popayan - Guests will be picked up at 5:00 AM from their hotel in Popayan to begin the journey to the town of Isnos.
• Isnos - After a two-hour drive, there will be a stop before reaching Isnos to enjoy a delightful traditional breakfast and recharge. The journey will then continue to the San Agustín Archaeological Park, one of Colombia’s most significant archaeological sites.
• San Agustin Archaeological Park - The park will be thoroughly explored to uncover the secrets of pre-Columbian civilizations. Did you know that San Agustín Archaeological Park is a World Heritage Site? During the tour, over 500 statues carved from volcanic stone, located in the upper basin of the Magdalena River, will be admired. These sculptures represent the largest megalithic ensemble and necropolis in the Americas. At noon, a delicious traditional lunch will be served, featuring a main dish with rice, soup, or salad.
• Estrecho Del Magdalena - (optional, if time permits and guests are quick walkers, this site can be visited). The tour will proceed to the Strait of the Magdalena River, where the majestic river narrows to just 2.20 meters wide.
• Parque Arqueologico Alto de los Idolos - (optional, if time permits and guests are quick walkers, this site can be visited). The tour will transfer to the Alto de los Idolos Archaeological Park to explore one of the most significant sites of the Augustinian culture.
• Parque Arqueologico Alto de los Idolos - At approximately 4:00 PM, the return to Popayan will commence, with an estimated arrival time of 7:00 PM, marking the end of the tour.
