Rain Soaked Fun - We had a great experience, but got POURED ON. We got back to our cruise ship shivering. However, Felipe was very kind and even let us ride back into Ponta Delgada with him so that we didn’t have to pay for a taxi. The countryside itself was gorgeous and the info that we learned was very interesting.

Great Time in Beautiful Place!! - I was worried about finding the right location once our Ship arrived in Ponta Delgado, but it was easy. Just go right when you hit the main street in front of the cruise terminal. You will see the kiosk for ANC Azores Holidays about 180 yards down the main road in front of cruise terminal. They will sign you in and take you by bus or van to location where quads are located. You will drive all over the island for around 3 1/2 hours, stopping at some really breathtaking sites. Bring a jacket and gloves because the temperature at the top of the volcano can get pretty cold, and rain and clouds roll in fast sometimes. It rained on us coming down the volcano road, but it just made for a more exciting story to share. I know you will love this excursion.

Unforgettable Quad Tour Experience! - This quad tour was absolutely the highlight of our trip! We got to explore all the most beautiful and scenic spots on the island—breathtaking views and stunning landscapes. Our tour guide was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable with fun facts and local insights. We had an absolute blast riding through the island and taking in the sights. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for adventure and a deeper appreciation of the island’s beauty!

Great experience! - Our guide was great! Very friendly and informative. It was a bit foggy so views from the top were limited. We expected that since it was January. Would definitely do it again in summer time!

Best excursion ever! - Hands down the best excursion I have ever been on. It was raining and we got soaked, but it was well worth it. It allowed us to see the real Ponta Delgada. Riding through the countryside and down into the volcano crater to Sete Cidades was an adventure that my family and I will always remember. Our group was able to have a well needed hot cup of cappuccino and delicious locally made pastry inside the crater. It was such a beautiful area! We can't wait to visit again and go on this same excursion! Our guide, Luis (?), was the best! He was informative, funny, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the area.

Cool views - Fun trip other than the rain keeping us from going off road and killing a lot of the views. Guide was friendly and helpful. When the skies did clear, the views were stunning. Our guide was super knowledgeable and interesting, but when you're on the bikes, you won't hear anything, so next time, I would go for the minibus tour.

Highly recommended. - Cool guide, attractive tour. The vehicles were old, some with worn tires and non-functioning headlights.
Surprisingly, we had to deposit EUR 500 by credit card; these were refunded without complaint.

Good overall, but little adventure - The landscapes were beautiful and the duration extensive. However I would have liked to take advantage of the quad bike to see views or access places where I could not have gone with the car. Virtually the entire journey was by road. Very friendly Guide.

Site seeing on a quadbike, nice but not an offroad adventure - We booked what was advertised as a half-day off-road quadbike adventure, but what we actually got was a sightseeing tour that happened to include a few minutes of light off-roading. While the scenery was beautiful and the guide clearly knew the area well, this was not the off-road experience we were promised.
The tour got off to a frustrating start.
Even before we arrived we felt uncomfortable because we never got a confirmation email.
We were asked to arrive around 13:00, but ended up waiting over 30–40 minutes before anything began. The facilities at the starting point were also quite poor. I needed to use the toilet but decided against it after seeing how dirty it was.
When we finally started, the first part of the route was described by the guide as "a boring tar road" used just to get to the off-roading area. That description turned out to be very accurate and immediately lowered our expectations. The first off-road segment was so mild it felt like something I encounter daily just getting to my own house. The second off-road section was a bit more enjoyable, but both sections together only lasted about 20 minutes—and that’s being generous. If we had been allowed to ride faster than 10 km/h, it could have been done in under five minutes.
The road back to the starting point was 50% the same as the road we took in the first half.
There was a drink stop included halfway through the tour, but the drinks themselves were not included, which felt a bit weird. On top of that, riding in a nine-vehicle convoy felt restrictive and really took away from any sense of adventure.
That said, I did still enjoy spending time on a quadbike with my girlfriend and taking in the beautiful views. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which added some value. However, I would have much preferred to rent a quadbike without a guide. That way we could have gone at our own pace, avoided the convoy, and maybe even done some real off-roading. I suspect we would have stopped at the same viewpoints anyway.
In the end, it was a nice sightseeing tour, but it was wrongly marketed as an off-road adventure.
I think we would have felt a lot better about the trip if the word offroading wasn't used in the marketing.
TL;DR: Beautiful views and a friendly, knowledgeable guide, but this was a mild sightseeing tour in disguise—not the off-road quadbike adventure that was advertised
