- Oudong Temple - Oudong was the royal capital between 1618 and 1866 before the capital was moved to Phnom Penh, several temples and stupas cover three hills. These huge stupas can be seen from miles away and contain the remains of several Khmer kings including King Monivong (1927-1941) and King Ang Duong (1845-1859). The walk up the hill over 500 steps provides an excellent exercise especially the view countryside view. These hills were also the site of some of the Khmer Rouge’s most prolonged resistance against the Vietnamese army in 1979 and a memorial to those murdered by the Khmer Rouge was built on this place.

Great day. Appreciate our guides - Thank you so much to our guide and driver, Seelong and Udom! Our family had a great day visiting the many sites with you and were grateful you could answer so many of our questions ranging from ancient history, religion, and modern politics. The Khmer lunch was very tasty and the guides were helpful in finding us American preferred style of toilets.

Fantastic Experience - Our guide, Silong, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the culture and history of Cambodia. I bought some gorgeous silver jewelry and learned how the artisans make them as well as what to look for in quality. I also got a great workout climbing the steps up the mountain. Fantastic experience!

Oudong Baset, A Hidden Gem 40 Mins From The City! - Oudong is not far from Phnom Penh but definitely worth a visit, maybe not in the dry season as it got really, really hot! Our English-speaking guide, Tokk, made us comfortable and was well-spoken. His appreciation of Buddhism meant that we were more informed at the various pagodas and stupas. Tokk was attentive to our needs and adjusted the programme to suit our physical strength under the Cambodia heat and humidity. Highly-recommended!

Outstanding Tour of Oudong Mountain & Cambodian Royal Palace – A Cultural Journey to Remember - I had the absolute pleasure of joining a guided tour of Oudong Mountain and the Cambodian Royal Palace, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was deeply enriching, beautifully organized, and filled with cultural insight thanks to Master Tour Guide Mr. Sam Ang-Eng.
Oudong Mountain was a breathtaking start to the journey. The panoramic views from the ancient stupas were awe-inspiring, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to connect with Cambodia’s spiritual heritage. Tour Guide Sam shared fascinating stories about the site’s history as the former royal capital and its religious significance, pointing out sacred relics and explaining local customs with warmth and clarity.
Later, at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, the grandeur of Cambodian architecture came to life. The Silver Pagoda, with its intricate mosaic floor and sacred Buddha statues, was a true highlight. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable, offering historical context, symbolism behind the architecture, and anecdotes that made each part of the palace complex feel alive with meaning. I could not have hoped for a more enriching experience!
What really made this tour stand out was our guide’s deep respect for Cambodian culture, paired with excellent communication and an approachable style. Sam was especially patient, enthusiastic, and truly passionate about sharing his country’s heritage. Whether you’re a history buff, a spiritual seeker, or simply curious about Cambodia’s past, this tour is a must-do.

A well paced day out with excellent driver and guide - Our guide and driver were friendly, attentive and welcoming. The tour was well paced with the right amount of information. The guide was very knowledgeable and both made sure that we were comfortable all day, providing water and having the car ready very quickly with no waiting. A great day out that gave us the opportunity to explore beyond Phnom Penh, and a trip we’d recommend.

A day in the country - Great guide and driver. The tour online description gave the impression of a lot of stops. The driver added a couple to make it better experienced. Nice spots but way overpriced compared to other tours in cambodia

A great day away from the city - Our guide totu was awesome. He did a great job and took us to some amazing spots. The driver was safe and curious. The actual itinerary was terrible. Many of the stops are combined so it is not as many stops as advertised but the driver ensured we saw everything plus a couple of surprises.

Beautiful view from the top - Amazing view from the top. You can see the nature up there. there are basically a religious pagoda uphill, so recommend to wear appropriate clothes and comfortable clothing and shoes for better walking
