Perfect experience - I was with four students visiting from abroad and booked a guided tour of Pompeii. It was a wonderful experience!
Our guide, Manuela, was absolutely fantastic. She's a truly lovely person and an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Her engaging style really drew us into the topics, providing us with thorough and fascinating information. In such a vast site, it would have been impossible to navigate and see everything we did in just two hours without her. Manuela's way of guiding made the visit even more captivating. Highly recommended. Two truly wonderful hours! Thank you!

Our tour guide, Barbara,... - Our tour guide, Barbara, was very friendly and gave us choices for which sections of the city we would like to see. She made sure that we took breaks when needed and kept us in the shade as much as possible. She also was very knowledgeable and answered questions that we had about the different sites. We appreciated how approachable and friendly she was.

Informative and enjoyable - Manuela was a lively, funny, and knowledgeable guide who showed us key sites within Pompeii and explained the significance of them clearly and accessibly. She also pointed out parts of the ruins we could explore on our own after the tour ended. Two hours very well spent!

Pompeii Adventure - This 2 hour overview of Pompeii provided us with a wonderful overview of the city. Manuela was knowledgeable and moved us along making the most of the two hours. I would suggest doing the 2 hour intro tour then exploring the rest of the area on your own. You can eat before the tour which started at ll am so you’ll have enough energy for a 3-5 hour visit. The trains from Sorrento or Naples drop you at the front door, but avoid the tour hawks at the exit, and walk down the hill to the Suisse Hotel. Our original plan was to combine this tour with the 3 hour Naples walk, but unless your on a time budget, do them on separate days. But you’ll get plenty of pictures to remember this special place.

Pompeii tour with Roberta - We are grateful that we were recommended to use Mondo Guide Tours for our tour of Pompeii. We appreciated the size of the group as it was easier to navigate some tight places. Best however was our guide Roberta who was fantastic. She has a warm friendly demeanor and deep knowledge of the history of Pompeii. She also managed the pace for our group ensuring it was a good experience for all.

Pompeii Archeological site highlights - Our Mondo Guide tour was honestly a highlight of our three week vacation in Italy. Manuela, in addition to being wickedly funny and charmingly bossy, provided great commentary, grounded in historical and anthropological context. She didn’t overwhelm us with facts, she showed us stories. She took great care with the needs of everyone in the group without derailing the tour.

The best way to see Pompeii - We had a wonderful tour with Roberta. She was so knowledgeable and managed to show us intriguing parts of Pompeii where there weren't a lot of other people. She was careful to keep us all together and shared wonderful facts with humour and good grace. We learnt a lot about Pompeii we would not have learned on our own.
We highly recommend Roberta and Mondo Guide Shared Tours.

Informative tour - We also enjoyed our tour with Roberta in Pompeii. She did a great job of giving us the overview and then dove into the details so that we could appreciate Pompeii on our own afterward. Roberta has been doing this for many years, but despite that, we felt she still enjoyed giving tours. Her depth of knowledge was extensive.
