As good as the reviews make it out to be - We just finished an 8 night Mediterranean cruise and this was my family's favorite activity. We met our tour guide Roberta at a cafe next to the entrance to Pompeii and she took us through the skip the queue line and security with ease. She made the tour engaging and made our 11 year old son interested and answering her quiz questions throughout the tour. She kept his attention for the duration of our time together. This tour was well worth the money!

Best family tour of Pompeii! - Ines was amazing. She kept both me and my kids (ages 11 and 14) super interested and did her best to keep us in the limited shade as we walked through Pompeii. She really knew her stuff and the area.

Perfect in every way! - 10/10. Highly recommended. Would do it again!
This tour and our guide, Roberta, were perfect in every way for our family. After nearly two long weeks in Tuscany and touring the Mediterranean, our kids had exceeded their history limit for one trip. Our 8 protested and almost didn’t leave the room.
By the time we were finished, she said it was her favorite part of our vacation!
We booked the earliest time - 09:00 - and right when the site opens. Roberta knew to take us the “back way” and do the park in reverse to avoid the mobs. She made the tour fun and engaging for our kids with quizzes, scavenger hunts, and games. With the June heat, growing crowds, and no heat to be found, 2 hours was the perfect duration.
Sure, we could have stayed longer and checked out more on our own, but we were exhausted and had seen enough that we didn’t feel guilty leaving when the tour ended.

Wonderful tour for families with kids! - Roberta was amazing. She worked great with our group, including 4 kids ages 4-10. She drew the kids in with competition and challenges and was very informative. It was just the right length to hit the highlights and see some cool stuff, but not too long on a hot summer day (if you’re traveling with young kids, you know super long tours aren’t the best). We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend - fascinating, captivating, funny - Fascinating tour. Our tour guide truly brought Pompeii to life with his stories and explanations. He was super knowledgeable, and kept our kids (13 yrs and 11yrs) engaged the whole time. We absolutely loved it.

5 Stars – Best Family Tour of Pompeii! - This was hands-down the best tour we’ve taken as a family! Our guide was incredible with the kids—he kept them engaged from start to finish with questions, fun facts, and amazing stories that made the ruins come alive. He had so much energy and enthusiasm, and you could tell he truly loves what he does.
We felt like we were exploring Pompeii with a family friend—he was warm, patient, and treated us like we were part of his own group. The tour was full of fascinating historical insight but never felt too heavy or dry. Even the adults learned a ton!
Highly recommend this experience to any family traveling to Pompeii. It was fun, educational, and truly unforgettable.

Pompeii has a lot of... - Pompeii has a lot of ground to cover and we had a great time on the tour. Loretta conveyed key pictures of what the city was going through in the years before the quake and what happens at the site to this day. The kids enjoyed her enthusiasm. I’d recommend 8yrs or older as best time to do this - kids should have stamina and focus.
