Great experience! - Mario was a fantastic guide! We really appreciated the history and insight he gave and was much better than an audio guided tour. Would definitely recommend!

Great tour - Excellent! Mario was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was also flexible and always checked in with us as to if he was going too or too slow. He was much more of a store teller than just a guide and we enjoyed him very much.

Amazing Pompeii Tour with Rosanna - Our Pompeii tour was absolutely amazing! The ruins themselves are breathtaking, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Rosanna. She was incredibly knowledgeable, bringing history to life with fascinating details and stories. On top of that, she had a great sense of humor that kept the whole group engaged and entertained the entire time. Rosanna managed to make a complex and historic site both easy to understand and so much fun to explore. I can’t recommend this tour—and Rosanna—highly enough!

An Amazing Tour of Pompeii/Herculaneum - We had the pleasure of touring Pompeii with Sergio, and he made the experience unforgettable! Even though we had torrential rain during our visit, Sergio’s passion for history and expertise in archaeology truly shone through. He brought the ancient ruins to life, telling stories of Pompeii’s vibrant past in a way that was both engaging and insightful.
Sergio didn’t just give us facts; he painted a vivid picture of the city as it once was, from the bustling streets to the tragedies that befell its residents. His deep knowledge of Pompeii’s history and its artifacts made the tour feel like we were stepping back in time. Despite the weather, Sergio maintained an upbeat attitude, ensuring that everyone remained comfortable and engaged.

thanks Mario - Mario c was our guide and he was amazing . He hit all the spots that were important . He found spots in the shade for guests while he stopped and spoke . He really knew his stuff and was able to answer any questions we had . After our tour he continued to show us they way out but not without seeing the museum . thanks a ton Mario

Historical tour of Pompeii Scavi - It was a great experience and our guide Sergio (from Askos tours) was brilliant. He gave us so much information that helped us understand the history of Pompeii. He was very knowledgeable and also had a sense of humour. Very well organised. I would recommend a guide for this wonderful experience.

Pompei archaeological tour - This is definitely worth doing if you're visiting Pompei. Our archaeological guide was fantastic and gave great insight. We were in a group of around 20 and we all got headsets so you could hear the guide even when busy. We didn't really know much about Pompei history (other than the obvious) so this was fantastic.

Brilliant tour of Pompeii and Positano - We were lucky to have Luigi as our driver and Ivan as our guide. Traffic was horrendous but Luigi kept a steady nerve and was kind enough to keep our lunch booking updated on our arrival time. Ivan was wonderful as a tour guide. He could not have been better for our group, which had mobility issues, and he led us to an easier to navigate path. His knowledge of the site was impressive and I felt lucky to visit with an expert.

Not the experience expected. - We were here late, September. Even in this large archaeological area the crowds were overwhelming. We had to wait in lines within the archaeological area to see certain rooms. We did not go see any of the current areas they are digging and uncovering. The number of people in the area often made it difficult to hear through the earphone. The tour indicated we were with an archaeologist, but anyone with a little history of the area could have led the tour.
There is so much more to learn and understand about this area.
I recommend to possibly consider a private tour and to really study about Pompeii before arriving. I gave it a four because it was a fair price and going to the area even with the limited amount of information and time was worth it.
