Highlights
  • Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - The amazing Mae Klong Railway Market, locally known as Talat Rom Hoop (‘Market Umbrella Close’). Imagine a train going straight through a public market! The Mae Klong Railway Market has been around since 1905. Fishing was (and still is) one of the main livelihoods of the people who lived here, and the market was another way in which to sell their goods. Officials decided to build a railway in order to better deliver these goods to other provinces. The market remained, however, despite the new tracks that cut through it. The duration included traveling time from Bangkok to Maeklong. - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Our first stop of the day will be the famous floating market Damnoen Saduak. You will board a long-tail boat for a ride through the canals. The Damnoen Saduak canal was ordered to be built in 1866 by King Rama IV to facilitate waterborne travels between Ratchaburi and Samut Sakhon provinces. It was finished and opened to the public in 1868. Photos of this vibrant market featuring boats laden with colorful fruits and vegetables, agricultural produce as well as authentic, local sweets, delicacies and souvenirs, are among the most often published in travel magazines and brochures of Thailand. Total time spend here is including traveling time from Bangkok to Damnoen Saduak (approx. 1,5 hrs - depending on traffic situation). NOTE: Damnoen Saduak is very touristy nowadays, but it still guarantees the floating market experience, even though it doesn’t always feel totally authentic. The duration includes traveling time from Damnoen Saduak to Ayutthaya. - Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan - Wat Phanan Choeng is famous for its enormous seated Buddha image, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Thailand. Entrance fees THB 20 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: - Wat Mahathat - Wat Mahathat, also known as the Monastery of the Great Relic, is believed to have been built around the 14th century and was once residence to the Supreme Patriarch leader of the Thai Buddhist monks. The most popular tourist attraction of Wat Mahathat is a tree whose roots have grown around the head of the Buddha statue. Entrance fees THB 50 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: - Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - Used mainly for ceremonies that served to authenticate the king’s spiritual and moral authority, Wat Phra Si Sanphet was the official royal temple. No monks lived here and only people within the royal circle were allowed to enter. Destroying Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the Royal Palace was a priority of the invading Burmese. They melted down 160 kilos of gold from the Phra Buddha Chai Sri Sanphet image and set fire to everything else. The distinctive pagodas of Wat Phra Si Sanphet are one of the most famous sights in Ayutthaya. Entrance fees THB 50 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: The duration included traveling time from Ayutthaya to Bangkok.

Great trip with guide Siri and driver Nu - Our recent tour in Thailand was outstanding, and we owe much of that to our exceptional guide, Siri, and our driver, Nu. Siri’s extensive knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour incredibly engaging and educational. We gained a deep understanding of Thai culture, religion, and the people, thanks to her insightful explanations. The tour included visits to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the unique Railway Market where the train passes through the stalls, and the historic city of Ayutthaya. Each stop was fascinating, and Siri provided valuable context and historical background that enriched our experience. Driver Nu was equally impressive, ensuring our journey was smooth and comfortable. His skillful driving allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Overall, this tour was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Thailand’s rich heritage.

Awesome guides, lovely day! - The guides Siri and Guitar and the driver Nu were amazing. They took such good care of me, told me many stories about the culture, history and religion and answered all of my (stupid) questions. They were super attentive to search for a vegetarian meal during lunch. I loved the whole day! Thanks again Siri, Guitar and Nu!!

Best tour with best guides - It was a great day with Siri and Benz. Railway market is an amazing experience, one of a kind. And the floating market is another unique place. Lots of souvenirs and food sold right from the boat. It was fun to take a boat there on the canal rather than walking on land. Later the ancient temples which are UNESCO listed. Siri and Benz are cool Tourist Guides. They try very hard to do everything to make everyone happy, they know good places with food. The tour is a lot of driving but Nu is a great driver. The car is big and has air conditioning so it was very pleasant. I recommend!!! Long day but full of impressions and nice memories. Siri as a photographer is the best!

Great tour! - Today we did the tour with guide Surina and driver Eak, and the tour was great!! Extra compliments to Surina because she made it even more special. The extra tips she gave, how she took care of us and the inexhaustible energy and kindness throughout the day were incredible. She even took us to the ancient recling Buddha at Ayutthaya, which was an extra because normally it's not included in the tour program. If you are considering doing the tour, it is 100% worth your money and ask for Surina to make it unforgettable! :) Kob khun krab! Emmanuel & Vreni

Amazing day with amazing people! - I've been to 40 countries, and our guides Siri and Kan, and driver Frank were some of the best I've had. They made our Bangkok railway and floating market and Ayuthaya temple tour so fun! Everything ran smoothly, and everyone had a great, pleasant attitude. Our guides took great care of us, took great pictures, were super knowledgeable and personable with great senses of humor. Their love for their jobs was obvious. It was a very long, but great day full of laughs and lots of learning thanks to them!

Very Enriching Tour! - This tour was such an enriching experience! Our guides Siri and Kan were extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs throughout the tour. Our driver Frank was safe and attentive as well. We learned so much about the Thai culture and Buddhism in general. We learned so much about the history of Ayutthya and Bangkok, the dynasties and the wars and conflicts that have taken place within the regions. The markets were fun and vibrant and our guides even gave us some insight on what items were selling for the best prices. They also were great photographers, making sure that we were capturing each special moment :) although the schedule is pretty full, I never felt rushed throughout. Highly recommend!
