Choose to visit the distillery/wine cellar door or spend 30 minutes exploring the many shops for some retail therapy.
• Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop - Hunter Valley boasts numerous local cheese shops and dairies. The region offers the finest local, Australian, and imported artisan cheese gourmet delights, cured meats, and accompaniments, including cheese platters in a box to take away. There are many cheeses and condiments available to fill your shopping cart. This visit is for shopping, and while there may be samples to try in the store, it is not a paid tasting.
• Pokolbin Chocolate Company & Pokolbin Jam Co - Pokolbin Chocolate Co is a boutique chocolate shop offering a wide variety of chocolates, fudge, jams, and teas. This local family-owned business has been operating for over 21 years.
• Taste of the Country - Stop by the charming country-style local cafe to meet Louise and her friendly, cheerful staff for approximately 45 minutes. Enjoy a country-style light ploughman’s platter lunch (not all dietary needs catered for, please call and ask). Choose to sit outside on picnic blankets, at a table in the sun or under shade, or inside with air conditioning as summer approaches. This is an all-weather lunch venue. It is IMPORTANT to note that on weekdays, if the minimum number of participants for this tour is not met, the half-day with lunch tour will be combined with another day tour, and the lunch venue may change.

Your travels don’t finish there. Its off to a local distillery outlet for samples of vodkas and gins. Followed by a visit to the Hunter famous ‘Smelly Deli’ for a local cheese and chocolate shops, try not to fill yourself with all the yummy things to buy before we return you back to your accommodation.
