Excellent day trip! Highly recommend! - I had an amazing time on my day trip to the coffee plantation and farm with Sharing Seeds Co-op. I chose the option where we took a cable car to the top and then hiked down. The uphill walk to the cable car was manageable, though it was a bit warm—next time, I might opt for a taxi to the base instead. That said, it was a fantastic way to enjoy the mountain views, visit the Ganesh statue, and have meaningful conversations. I also appreciated that it was just the guide and me, which gave me space to move at my own pace—something important to me as I sometimes have low energy due to chronic illness. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable about local flora, history, and culture. Their English was excellent, as they had lived abroad, and they were able to answer all my questions easily. One of the highlights was identifying plants on the hike down—including edible ones like the delicious orange Himalayan berries we found along the trail. The farm itself made my heart sing—it’s a beautiful example of permaculture and sustainable agriculture. I had a great time nerding out about all the different trees and plants, and learning how coffee is cultivated in shaded areas that weren’t previously used. Lunch was delicious, the coffee was outstanding, and the team was warm and gracious. As a bonus, there was an adorable puppy on-site when I visited, which made the day even more special. They were so friendly and peaceful—I can absolutely see why someone would want to spend their whole life there! I was also grateful they arranged transportation home so I didn’t have to hike back. All in all, it was a perfect day trip—especially if you’ve got a trekking adventure ahead. Highly, highly recommend this experience.

An authentic local life tour - We had a visit with a group of fellow travellers and it was an amazing time, from the gentle walk down to the community with a warm welcome and the tasty breakfast. The tour of the beehives, vegetable garden and coffee plants was very informative and afterwards we sampled the coffee they produce with an opportunity to buy some to take home. It is a very worthwhile initiative run by dedicated and passionate people who care about their land and their community. Well worth a visit.

Amazing experience! - I had the chance to meet Abi and discover his brilliant seed sharing project. He did me a tour of his plantation and presented me every step of the coffee making process. I had the opportunity to taste its gorgeous coffee in the peaceful and charming place where he welcome guest. I stayed for lunch which was truly tasty. I had an exquisite time with him and felt his passion for coffee and involvement in his community. He has strong values about sustainability and do not compromise while the competition is fierce in this field. I truly recommend to discover this project and strongly support it.

Must do experience in Pokhara! - This is the most special and beautiful experience. The people and the community are so welcoming. We had a fantastic time eating the most delicious home cooked, organic meal which I would go back for seconds time and time again! We then got to learn about the coffee growing and harvesting process before getting to try some of their delicious product! It is wonderful to see organic farming and sustainable tourism in action whilst learning about the local community. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Pokhara region! Thank you so much for having us!! 😁😊

A cultural experience with coffee plantation and honey making - A fantastic experience to see how the local people live. Very welcoming and keen to practice their English Explanation of honey harvesting and coffee from bush to cup, we even got to try the coffee and honey. We were served a local breakfast of a mild curry, buckwheat millet pancakes and gourd chutney.
