Relax: These people know what they are doing! - I cannot recommend Eco Holidays Nepal highly enough. We had trekked several years before and had a wonderful time but we found this company to be even better. As two 70-year-old trekkers, the experience of "wrap around" services supplied by Eco Holidays made the experience painless. It allowed us to relax and enjoy the Himalayas knowing that everything, I mean everything, was taken care of. We were picked up and delivered back to our hotel, met at the airport in Pokhara, and housed in a comfortable hotel and charming teahouses along the way. Our guide was also full-service. Pramod educated us about all that we saw along the line, pointing out wildlife and sights, giving us history and rich detail, took pictures of us along the way, ensured we rested and were well-hydrated, served us our breakfast and dinner and was an easy companion for my husband and me. Everything went without a hitch. Trekking can be challenging (and for us this was) but it is so much better and hassle-free due to Eco Holidays Nepal.

Fabulous mountain and cultural experience and a stellar guide. - My trip was fantastic, a memory for a lifetime. Bikram was my private guide and he was terrific: knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. He knew the route, facts about the mountains, great places to stop for eat and drink, taking time to capture photos, and talk about what we were experiencing. The views of the mountains were amazing, especially the early morning hike up Poon Hill. I could not recommend the trip any better, and Bikram as a guide made the whole experience for me as a solo traveler very comfortable. He can also hike the steep trails like nobody’s business, but attended to my pace as well.

Fun hike in Nepal! - My first ever trek and I loved it! An inspiring, wholesome experience. If you want a world class guide I recommend requesting Sudip Shrestha, our highly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and humble Nepali guide. Sudip is emotionally intelligent and knows when to walk besides you and talk; and when to give you space to reflect, talk with friends/others or walk mindfully. He has a wonderful sense of humour and at all times you feel safe, empowered and supported.
Highlights:
- The beautiful mountain, forest and river views 🏔️
- The food and tea along the way, and at Poon Hill 🤤
- The company of our guide Sudip 🇳🇵
- Poon Hill lookout at sunrise 🌄
- The magic, positive energy of the local Nepali people, with many welcoming exchanges of Namaste 🙏
- The cute animals along the way including oxen, eagles and baby chickens 🐂
- Sudip and Eco Holidays helping me change the time of my return flight to Kathmandu, and helping me book the 1hr Everest scenic aeroplane tour 🛩️
Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

A Memorable Introduction to the Himalayas - As someone stepping into the enthralling world of mountain trekking for the first time, the three-day private trek to Poon Hill, starting from Pokhara, unveiled a mesmerizing tapestry of natural and cultural experiences that exceeded all expectations.
Navigating through the moderately challenging trail, the hike meandered through vibrant forests, quaint mountain villages, and serene rice fields, all against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Himalayas. Standing atop Poon Hill during sunrise, witnessing the majestic peaks bathed in a warm, golden hue, was an indescribable moment that will be etched in my memory forever.
For a novice trekker, the trail offered the perfect amalgamation of manageable challenges and visual rewards. The altitude was forgiving, making acclimatization an easy process, and the varying landscapes provided constant visual delight.
Embarking on this journey with Eco Holidays Nepal turned out to be a fortuitous decision. From the initial stages of planning to the execution of the trek, their team demonstrated utmost professionalism and genuine care towards curating a hassle-free experience for their travelers.
The exceptional guidance of Saroj, my trekking guide, was a pivotal aspect of this journey. His friendly demeanor, in-depth knowledge of the trails, and adept negotiation skills in securing teahouse stays and necessary permits, removed all potential stressors from the experience. Saroj’s insights into the local culture and environment enriched the journey, transforming it from a mere trek to an immersive cultural exploration.
The Poon Hill trek was not just a physical journey through the Himalayas, but a soulful adventure through nature and culture, splendidly facilitated by Eco Holidays Nepal. A special acknowledgment to Saroj, whose guidance illuminated the path and enriched the experience in every possible way.

Have a think... - What can I say? Imagine an incredibly helpful organiser Dhruba, an amazing guide called Raj and a thoughtful curated experience that makes me want to continue the experience. I'm ever so thankful, I don't normally give reviews but this certainly deserves it.
