Staff/and crew made this an unforgettable experience - We had a tremendous experience made all the better by the staff! Jose kept stopping to show us marina life we would have completely missed and the female diving member (sorry, I can't recall your name) helped my young daughter several times. The ride there and back was smooth thanks to the expertise of the crew.

Wonderful Experience with Diving! - The whole experience was amazing!! Gaston really took care of my family and helped us out in every step of the way. We were picked up by the Pacific Coast Dive Center transportation from our hotel and driven to their site. We were given detailed instructions on what to expect and their hospitality was great! Everyone was very helpful and kind. They had bilingual tour guides, so that was a great help. Everyone helped us put on the wetsuits and the fins. We then went to the pick up point and took a taxi boat to the actual boat. We had to drive for a little bit and they explained the instructions for diving. My sister was really nervous so Gaston brought her back to the boat and she was allowed to snorkel while my fiancé and I dove. Once we reached, they helped us put on the tanks and slowly led us down. I had a hard time equalizing my ears but Gaston was very understanding and carefully led me down. We saw soooo many fish!! It was wonderful and Gaston took lots of pictures for us that we purchased at the end. Highly recommend bc we spent a lot of time with the tour guides and they did everything to make us comfortable and informed.

Nice day out - Great trip and great instructors! Ocean was a little choppy but we saw some cool fish and sea life. Next time I’d bring anti nausea medication and a lunch.

Awesome team, beautiful wild life, spectacular views - Highly Recommend - My family and I recently did a snorkeling excursion… the team is absolutely amazing! The guys made my 12 year old son feel much more at ease by chatting and joking around with him before we left. We got to see so many fishies (my oldest son was able to see a shark even!) The views were spectacular and they provided fresh fruit, some cookies and plenty of water and tea along the way. I also loved that they gave the option of using pool noodles if desired (they do have life jackets as well but the noodles are a different fun idea). I highly recommend this company and if I ever get to visit Costa Rica again we will definitely be going back…would love to try the diving! Oh! we also paid the extra $10/person for pictures. They will ask before you leave and you have the option to pay with cash or they will send you a QR code. I received the pics the next morning & they all came out great…It was a pleasant surprise they took videos too! My kids loved being able to have those moments captured <3

Under the Water with Pacific Coast Dive Center - Excellent experience! We went through Natives Way and the tour will do pick up and drop off (sidebar: a fun way to see the area and view other hotels). We snorkled and the water was very pleasant temperature-wise - no need for a wetsuit. Safety was always the first priority and you could take a lifejacket or pool noodle with you - even though it's saltwater, the pool noodle was a nice buoyancy tool. We stayed together and our guides pointed out a shark (the kind not interested in humans) and plenty of fish. The scuba divers also saw enormous manta rays! There are two snorkeling opportunities but if the first experience wipes you out, there is no problem staying on the boat and enjoying the views, the sun and meeting others. PCDC also provides water and snacks (ours was pineapple, watermelon and packaged cookies). Double up on sunscreen and maybe take Dramamine as a precaution against seasickness so you can fully enjoy the experience. Also, a member of the scuba group had brought along some significant underwater photography gear plus a Go Pro and our Pacific Coast team seemed very engaged to make sure the guest and his equipment were well taken care of. Viv and Jose were top notch; they also had an intern along and he did a great job as well. They bring along extra noodles and life preservers for snorkelers. FYI, Venmo not accepted.

Not a great snorkeling experience! - While the staff on the boat was friendly and helpful, the overall experience was underwhelming to say the least. This trip was really not meant for snorkelers, but for scuba divers who were prioritize over people snorkeling. There was a lot of sitting and waiting for the divers to be prepped and put in the water before those of us who were snorkeling. Some of the equipment was not the best. My mask and snorkel leaked constantly though they gave me another which the snorkel was better but the mask still leaked and I had to keep taking it off and draining the sea water. I know they don’t control what you’ll see under the water but the visibility and very rough choppy water made the experience disappointing. I feel if they’re going to advertise it as a snorkeling trip it should be done separately from those scuba diving. Not recommended for snorkeling!
