Crete off the beaten path…best way to experience Crete! - Our guide Jeff was an awesome guide through the mountains of Crete. Although he is not from Crete, he is passionate about the lifestyle of Crete. He shared the smells of Crete by foraging roadside herbs like fennel, oregano, and sage. He also made us appreciate the sounds of Crete, such as the melodious ringing of the bells on the goats. He also shared his firsthand knowledge about olive farms. He was a gracious host always opening the door for us, making sure we were taken care of at the restaurant, and provided many opportunities for photos of the beautiful country we saw. We highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour! Fab day out. - Well organised, informative and enjoyable tour. We did the tour of the Lasithi Plateau with our driver Geoff. We had spectacular views and saw parts of Crete that we would not have seen staying in the main resort. Very much enjoyed the cave of Zeus which was well worth the many steps up hill to get there. 14 and 18 year olds enjoyed it too. Lunch stop was tasty and lots of opportunities to take photos. Best trip of our holiday.

Best excursion you could take. - Would recommend you take this trip if visiting Crete. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable on topics from the local culture, flora and fauna. Best way to see parts of the island that you really could not get to by yourself.

Fantastic all day guided tour - My other half & I have been on 2 trips previously (once with Geoff and the other time with Gary). Booked a full day tour again with our 20-somethings offspring. We got collected from our villa on the outskirts of Elounda...by Geoff and his trusty Landy, Spartacus. Picked up 2 other couples before the fun of the day really began. Geoff is incredibly knowledgeable, and our son, who loves all things nature, was v impressed that Geoff was picking wild herbs for us to discover Lunch is provided in the cost of the trip (and this includes choice of wine, soft drinks and raki) The entrance cost to the Cave of Zeus is extra if you wish to visit it. We were told that the cave is going to be closed for a year from the beginning of Sept 2024 Would highly recommend the trip - book direct via the company website

A must to do Agios Nicholas - The trip was amazing the sights the views the people. It was made extra special thanks to Geoff our knowledgeable and friendly guide. There was a family of 4 and single young man and us . From the start Geoff created an inclusive experience that we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend

An Cretan mountain exploration with the brilliant Geoff - My wife and I booked this as a way of seeing the beautiful Cretan mountains and the cave of Zeus. What we got far exceeded our expectations. Our driver Geoff was absolutely brilliant - what he didn’t know about Cretan nature, herbs, culture and legends probably isn’t worth knowing. The views were amazing, we fed goats and also got lift a huge, very heavy stone on a cliff edge! 😂

The real Crete - Highly recommend this trip up into the mountains discovering the sights smells and sounds of the countryside. Geoff our guide is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the area including the flora, fauna and history. He is very amusing and kept us all entertained throughout the day. We had a fabulous authentic meal in a taverna in the mountains. We also had a tour of an olive oil producer in Old Malia. Thanks to Geoff for a wonderful trip we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Safari club tour - Geff was absolutely amazing,you could tell how much he loved his job which made it better on the tour,there wasn’t a dull moment at all.the history he told us he made it as fun as possible and not boring at all .we learnt so much about Crete.would definitely recommend doing this tour

See the real Crete with Safari Club Tours - If you want to see the "real Crete", i.e. away from the tourist hot spots, then go on one of the Safari Club tours. We went on the 'Katharo' route, and our driver was called Ruud 1. ( Yes they have two drivers called Ruud, Ruud 1 and Ruud2). He was very knowledgeable about numerous aspects of the country, the people, the animals and of course the history of Crete. We had an excellent barbeque meal with wine halfway through the trip, and the views of two plateaus were stunning, - this is 'off road', and then some!
