Highly recommend! - Nick, our guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable about all the fish and coral we saw. He took us snorkeling on both sides of the island and at no point did we feel rushed. The lunch on the beach was delicious. Would definitely do another tour with Captain Jak’s next time we are in Placencia.

Belize Snorkel Experience - Nick did not let me give up! As a non-swimmer, in my mid-70's and only snorkeled once before ten years ago, I had a good time viewing the fish and coral reef. I felt safe and they took good care of our group of 14 by dividing us into the pro's and the novices. However, the coral reef was bleached out with very little color. Nick explained what we were viewing and took time as we snorkeled around the island. I would recommend this company. Their equipment was up to date, sanitized and replaced if not working properly when they were doing their safety pre-check prior to our snorkel experience.

10/10 - This was an incredible experience with a wonderful company - Captain Jak's has now become our hub for Belize adventures! This was our first experience with them, but we were REALLY impressed! The day was unreal. NOTE: We did not actually get to go to Laughing Bird Caye since we were the only ones signed up for that trip, but the team moved us over to a 2-island excursion to Silk Caye and Moho Caye at no extra charge! They were so nice. The trip itself was absolutely fantastic-- guides were helpful and kind without being overbearing and gave us plenty of room to choose the level of support and oversight we wanted. The BBQ on Moho Caye was wonderful-- I was so glad fate convened to allow us to visit that island, because it has the BEST vibes. We will definitely go out with Captain Jak's group again!

An incredible family experience! - We had a most incredible experience. I must give a special thanks to our guides, Ian, Julian and Marian. Each of these incredible gentlemen went out of their way to educate our children about the local environment, and make sure that we were safe, comfortable, and very well fed. 10/10!

Beautiful Snorkeling and Easy Boat Ride - The trip out to the Caye was easy and the snorkeling was beautiful! Our snorkeling guide was great at pointing things out and kept an eye on everyone while letting us explore. Great coral and wildlife! Having a snack on dry land before getting back on the boat was a bonus.

Fun Half Day Excursion - We took the Captain Jak's half day excursion to laughing bird Caye. It's a ton of fun, there was a nice spot to pick up any last minute rations before we left, then a fun boat ride to a beautiful location. We had an awesome tour guide who showed us many of the cool things the ocean had to offer. Highly Recommend!

Amazing Laughing Bird Caye Snorkel - We had a amazing snorkel at Laughing Bird Caye. Captain Jacks crew was fantastic. Tulu was our hour snorkel guide. He was very patient and made sure everyone had their gear on right and was one of the Best Snorkel guides I've had and I've snorkeled all over the world. The reef was vibrant with lots of corral, fans, bursting with marine life. Tulu informed us on everything we were seeing. All variety of colorful fish, plant life, lobster, and even a small shark, which was rare to see around the reef itself. You also got to witness thousands of the birds laughing loudly on the island. You won't be disappointed on this snorkel or with Captain Jack's crew they were the best.

Rain or Shine - Must experience - This tour was outstanding and magical. My partner, friends, and I wanted to snorkel one of the reef ecosystems off of the Placencia area. We heard wonderful things about Captain Jak's and scheduled a half-day Snorkel. Originally, we planned on Moho Caye, but the weather was not in our favor. We brought the rain as it was storming. However, instead of canceling the tour, Captain Jak's recommended Laughing Bird Caye to ensure we still experienced the majesty of a coral reef ecosystem. The waves were rolling and the rain pelted our backs, but the views were incredible, the water was warm, and the reef was teeming with life. Our guide, Nic, was amazing. He would point out different species and teach us about them, elevating this from a basic snorkel trip to an interactive and discovery-filled adventure. Cannot recommend this enough. 5 stars.
