We recommend this fun and fascinating tour with John for locals as well as out-of-towners! - John was absolutely fantastic! We live in Pittsburgh and are very familiar with Lawrenceville (and Beer!) so we thought this tour, which was given to as a gift, might be sort of redundant. But John opened up our eyes to so much we didn't know about the making and drinking of beer - as well as about the extensive history of Lawrenceville. The breweries and pubs we visited were very welcoming - and there was no marketing or feeling of "touristy." John was able to personalize this tour to our interests and tastes - and what we thought could be a two-mile trudge instead went by very, very easily and quickly! We recommend this tour with John for locals as well as out-of-towners!

The Best Way to See the City! - Beers in the Burgh is the best way to see the city! Our tour guide, John, was fantastic! He took us to several different neighborhoods for different pours and types of beer. It was the perfect blend of seeing different parts of Pittsburgh and trying local crafts. We got to meet one of the founders and master brewers, as well as a tour of the brewery to better understand the brew process. Lastly, John wrapped up by breaking out some local snacks, which was the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable afternoon. Thank you, John, for making this an experience we will never forget!

Beer With A Side of History - What a fun and tasty way to get off the typical Pittsburgh tourist path. John did an excellent job showing me and my small group to phenomenal local breweries and taprooms, sharing his expansive knowledge of both the city and the Lawrenceville neighborhood along the way. Just as Kane brought downtown to life on the Best of the Burgh Tour, John brought Lawrenceville to life on this one. Looking for an informative and tasty way to fill an afternoon of your Pittsburgh itinerary? Look no further!

Great tour of one of Pittsburgh's most unique areas! - Even as locals to Pittsburgh, this was such a great afternoon to explore one of the area's best neighborhoods and learn some cool facts about the city. John was an amazing guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the brewery scene, but also was able to teach us some new things I never knew about Pittsburgh. The walk was easy with perfectly planned rests in between and each brewery offered incredible beers to sample. John does a great job of selecting craft beers that are easy to drink for any level of beer enthusiast. Now we have to do the bike tour next!

Amazing - The tour started in midtown Lawrenceville and took around 3 hours. Our guide not only had an in-depth knowledge of beer but also about the surrounding area and the history of Pittsburgh. He was affable and when we mentioned we were moving to Pittsburgh from out-of-town he was more than happy to give us advice about local hotspots and coffee shops. We had so much fun on the tour and especially liked the local pickles our guide brought for us to snack on in addition to the beer. A necessary stop for anyone looking to enjoy a sunny afternoon drinking or for someone new to the neighborhood. It's clear to see they go out of their way to make their experience special for everyone.

A great way to spend an afternoon - John was an amazing guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about both beer & local history and was great with answering our questions. We learned a lot about the brewing process, and the beers we had on the tour were fantastic. We tried a variety of beers including a few I typically don’t drink, and it was great for me to try new things. I also loved learning about the history of Pittsburgh and John was a font of knowledge and let me pick his brain, which was awesome! I’m glad I found this tour and would highly recommended it to others.
