Discovering history, territory, tradition and wine - If you are looking for a quality excursion this is really the right one. Lorenzo is a very prepared environmental Guide, he will be able to blend the pleasure of walking, to discover an enchanted territory, the history of the vie cava and the tuff villages, will answer your every curiosity in a pleasant and spontaneous way, will make your children laugh and will talk to them in a simple way to make them appreciate what they see. The final tasting in a historic winery whose visit alone is worth the trip, will be a convivial moment and an experience of flavors and aromas in the territory. Don’t think of the classic “guided tour” where they just provide you with pre-packaged information; Lorenzo knows how to build relationships and transmit the passion for his land that you too will love deeply.

Best ever tour - Lorenzo was an absolute legend, kind, patient and considerate. Very knowledgeable, answered all questions related to the tour, Pitigliano and the surrounding areas. He was very clear and his English was excellent. We had clear instructions for pick up and bang on time. The cost of the tour was unbelievable, I would of paid double for what Lorenzo did for us and the group. The best part for me was his and the group’s company at the end of the tour, we shared wine, food and stories. There is nothing that could make this trip or tour better, thank you Lorenzo.

Move beyond the obvious photos of Pitigliano - We spent almost three hours with Lorenzo, our guide, exploring the countryside and history around Pitigliano. We learned of the fascinating history of the Etruscans in the area while enjoying a walk from the main square of Pitigliano down to the river, up the ancient Via Cave to the plateau, and back again. At the end of the walk, Lorenzo took us to a private wine cellar under the streets of Pitigliano to enjoy local meats, cheeses, and, of course, wine. I recommend this tour most highly; we will certainly look to take another hike with Lorenzo when next in the area.

Nature around the village - With two friends no longer in their twenties we decided to take a short walk in nature and immerse ourselves in the Etruscan history around Pitigliano. Our guide, Lorenzo, was very knowledgeable and met and exceeded our expectations. We recommend him for his ability to explain history to us by making us imagine life in the time of the Etruscans, for explaining fauna and flora in a way that is understandable even to non-experts and for all the other suggestions he gave us. The times and rhythms of the journey are marked out according to the abilities of the people he accompanies. Advised !

An essential visit for any stay in Pitigliano or surrounding areas! - While traveling in the region to understand the heritage of the Etruscans, the guided tour with Lorenzo in the "vie caves", pathways dug in the tuff by the Etruscans, was the gem of our stay. Lorenzo guides us through paths that are just as impressive as the others while counting the history and other anecdotes around the Etruscans. This visit really allows you to understand the evolution of these magnificent places and put meaning behind what you have observed. The wine, cheese and charcuterie tasting at the end, in an old cellar with a splendid view, and what's more in very good company, was the icing on the cake. Lorenzo is passionate about what he does and keen to highlight and raise awareness of the heritage of Pitigliano and its surroundings. We were delighted and I can only recommend! Another huge thank you to Lorenzo.

Etruscan history and wine tasting - We did the walking tour “In the footstep of the Etruscans: the tour of the Vie Cave” with Lorenzo from the Red Road. Our journey through the Etruscan history, guided by our incredibly knowledgeable host, was an unforgettable experience. Exploring the cave streets, every story from our guide made the ancient world spring to life. The highlight? A visit to a historic winery with top-notch wine and local delicacies. From the stories to the tastings, we felt genuinely welcomed and deeply connected to the region. Kudos to our guide for such a fantastic day! Thank you!
