Pisa is renowned for its iconic leaning Tower, but it also boasts a wealth of artistic and historical treasures. Our guided journey initiates from Piazza del Duomo - or Miracles Square - which is Pisa’s spiritual core and houses the famous leaning Tower, Cathedral, Baptistry, and monumental Cemetery. Collectively, they serve as a testament to Pisa’s prowess during the Middle Ages. We stroll down Saint Mary street, brimming with tourist-friendly shops and eateries, leading us to Piazza dei Cavalieri, which used to be the city’s political and administrative hub. Here, we marvel at the Church of Cavalieri constructed with the esteemed Carrara marble, the Palazzo della Carovana that currently accommodates the Scuola Normale Superiore - the world’s eighth university - and its library. Our excursion concludes by the river Arno, Tuscany’s primary river, which bisects Pisa into the north and south. Along the river, we witness a picturesque view made up of palaces adorned in a spectrum of colours.
