Highlights
  • Piazza dei Miracoli - Discover the wonders within the Piazza dei Miracoli, featuring four monuments: The Baptistery (renowned for its echo), the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower, and the Cemetery. Capture a memorable photo with the Leaning Tower in the background, as if you’re holding it up.
  • Battistero di San Giovanni - The Pisa Baptistery of St. John (Italian: Battistero di San Giovanni) is a Roman Catholic church in Pisa, Italy. Construction began in 1152 to replace an older baptistery, and it was completed in 1363, making it the second building, in chronological order, in the Piazza dei Miracoli.
The building’s shape, materials, interior column arrangement, and the space between the two domes create an incredible acoustic resonance effect, known as Echo. The sound spreads throughout the space like a continuous wave, rising in pitch to suggest the presence of an angelic choir. Every half hour, the Baptistery staff performs a brief demonstration for tourists, showcasing this remarkable effect.
  • Duomo di Pisa - Pisa Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, located in the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa, Italy. It is a notable example of Romanesque architecture, particularly the Pisan Romanesque style.
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa - Marvel at the world’s most famous bell tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, known globally for its nearly four-degree tilt due to an unstable foundation. The tower stands behind the Pisa Cathedral and is the third oldest structure in the city’s Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo), following the cathedral and the Pisa Baptistry.
  • Galleria dell’Accademia - The visit includes the Accademy Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s renowned sculpture, David. In addition to David, the gallery also houses other sculptures and a vast collection of paintings by Florentine artists.
  • Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore - The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (viewed from outside), with its stunning dome designed by Brunelleschi, is the main church of Florence. Construction began in 1296 in the Gothic style, based on a design by Arnolfo di Cambio, and was structurally completed in 1436 with the dome by Filippo Brunelleschi.
The exterior of the basilica features polychrome marble panels in shades of green and pink, bordered by white, and an elaborate 19th-century Gothic Revival façade by Emilio De Fabris.
  • Giotto’s Bell Tower - Next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is the Bell Tower designed by Giotto (viewed from outside). Giotto’s Bell Tower is a magnificent example of Italian Gothic architecture. The tower has a square base of approximately 15 meters per side, with corner reinforcements that rise to the horizontal cantilevered crown at a height of 84.7 meters.
  • Piazza della Signoria - Piazza della Signoria has been the heart of Florence’s political life since the 14th century. The square has witnessed significant historical events and triumphs, such as the return of the Medici in 1530.
The famous sculptures in Piazza della Signoria reflect Florence’s political history. Michelangelo’s David (the original is in the Accademia Gallery) was placed in front of Palazzo Vecchio to symbolize the power of the Florentine Republic against Medici tyranny. Hercules and Cacus (1534) by Bandinelli represents the physical strength of the Medici family.
  • Ponte Vecchio - Built near an ancient Roman crossing, the Ponte Vecchio was the only bridge crossing the Arno in Florence until 1218.
Above Ponte Vecchio, you can see part of the beautiful Vasari Corridor. This corridor, built in 1565 by Giorgio Vasari, runs above the goldsmith shops on either side of the bridge. Commissioned by the Medici, it allowed them to move from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti safely, without crossing Florence’s streets. When the corridor was built, butchers’ shops occupied the Ponte Vecchio, but their activities likely disturbed the Medici, who replaced them with goldsmith shops in 1593.
  • Piazzale Michelangelo - Piazzale Michelangelo offers the most breathtaking views of Florence. From here, you can admire the entire city and its magnificent monuments.
This square is dedicated to the great Renaissance artist Michelangelo, with a replica of David at its center, surrounded by the four allegories from the Medici Chapels of San Lorenzo.

Excellent day out, Perfect. - Cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Slight changes to tour occurred in our favour but it was communicated excellently, with no inconvenience to the tour. Rashi our guide was the perfect host being helpful, informative and overall faultless. The driver for the day was a perfect gentleman and professional. The tour packed a lot in the short amount of time with a real flavour of Pisa and Florence. Overall the small intimate party was perfect as a family group, and the guide around Florence was cheerful, attentive and informative. Would highly recommend this tour. Thank you to all the team.

Highlights of Pisa and Florence - This tour was perfect for a highlights tour of Pisa and Florence for folks who don't need the overnight experience, but want a low maintenance inclusive road trip there and back for a day. July was extremely hot, but overall, it wasn't too terribly busy and unbearable. I would not recommend this trip for elderly as there is a good amount of climbing in and out of the minivan and walking in the heat. But our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave a great overview of the history of Florence.

Great tour to see Pisa and Florence from Rome - We booked this tour the day before after another vendor offering the same tour canceled on the day we were supposed to be picked up from our hotel (not professionnel whatsoever!). We're so happy with our tour! They picked us up at our hotel and the guide Richie explained along the way over to Pisa a bit of history and answered our questions. Once in Florence we joined a larger group where the local guide gave us rich information about the city and the art! We were driven back to our hotel after this memorable day.

Fantastic Day trip – Pisa / Florence!! - We had a wonderful private day tour of Pisa/Florence. Our children were very excited to see the leaning tower of Pisa in person. Our tour guide Maria Teresa was very knowledgeable and provided historical facts during the course of the journey to Pisa. Then when we arrived in Florence the restaurant recommendation was excellent. We were then handed off to another local tour guide who was equally knowledgeable and explained some important facts about Michelangelo’s sculpture of David, Ponte Vecchio and several other sites. Amazing experience for our family and loved the easy hotel pickup/drop off, great communication by our guide, however we must call out that is a long travel day if with young children, but definitely worth it!!

Worst guided tour - The pickup was on time but the setback starts when you have to sit for 4 hrs with no commentary and a really bumpy ride . Our guide was not at all close to history and our family was separated in 2 vehicles with drivers having no English knowledge. The guide was not even able to give any detail about any monument and just said “I don’t know “. After having lunch at Florence the entire family felt sick and we decided to forfeit the tour and return to hotel . Then again , another 3.5 hrs muted drive back . This tour is just 8 hrs of drive with so much challenge to find rest areas . Avoid this tour if you can . I feel scammed.
