This was an experience of... - This was an experience of a lifetime and we’ll treasure it always. Jess was an incredible guide and knew every bird by sight and sound, every tree and so much information about the glow worms and the area. She even pointed out constellations on the beautiful, starry night and we could see the Milky Way. Riverside Adventures could have canceled on us because we ended up just having us two on this particular random late fall day tour, but they didn’t and we are so grateful!

Amazing experience - Great experience. I can highly recommend it to anyone. The glowworms were amazing and the nature around was really nice as well. On top of that we got a perfect clear nightsky and even learned some about the stars.

Great experience for our family. - Great experience for our family.
Mak was great answering all my son's questions driven by his anxiety. Dan was a legend towing back a couple of kayaks with international visitors.
Having all the gear, made the trip a breeze and being outdoors in the New Zealand environment is great.

Unique and Fun Outdoor Adventure - Had an amazing time with Kayaking Adventures! The experience was well-organized, and the guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable on the water. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and it was a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
The equipment was in great condition, and safety was clearly a priority, which made the experience enjoyable for both beginners and experienced paddlers. It’s such a fun and different way to get outdoors and experience nature from a whole new perspective. Definitely will be back!

Unforgettable Glow worm experience in New Zealand! - This was an incredible tour!!! The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable, personable and made all guests feel welcome and comfortable! The views from the kayak were so beautiful and serene. Our guide Daniel shared so much knowledge and history about the area and the plant/animal life. But the glowworms were spectacular!! Such a surreal and awesome experience! The grand finale was the stunning view of the the gorgeous stars! Not only did we have incredible views, our guide Daniel taught us so much about the stars and the planets. Our tour included teenagers and 90 year olds and everyone had an amazing time! Highly recommend for all those visiting this area of New Zealand!!

Unforgettable Glow Worm Kayak Tour – Even More Magical in the Rain! - We joined the Kayak Glow Worm Tour on Thursday, 19 September 2024, and even though it rained, the experience was still amazing! Paddling in the rain with glowing worms around us was so beautiful and unforgettable. Even after half a year, we still think about that night.
The Riverside Adventures team was great! The guides were patient and always checked on us, making sure we were safe and comfortable. The hot fruit tea and pineapple candy during the break were delicious and a nice surprise.
Thank you to the team for your hard work! We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Zealand. 🚣♂️✨🌿

Greta trip had by family & overseas visitors. - Great trip had by all ages This is the second time we have been on this trip. this time accompanying family members & overseas visitors aged from 15 - 75 years old. Well organised, knowledgeable & helpful. The glow worms are worth seeing and a different experience floating through the canyon at night.

alright - Glowworm was a let down but the experience of kayaking through the river at dark was magical. Lots of down time waiting since the river has other groups doing activities at the same time. I would not do this again.
