Outstanding Expereince! So Glad we Booked a GUIDE! - Thank you to Enzo for a wonderful morning hiking the Path of the Gods. Not only were the views beautiful but Enzo shared many local stories, personal anecdotes and the history of the region. We hiked with our two grown children, started in Agerola and finished near Nocelle. Mostly downhill, some rocky portions but not a taxing hike. Enzo dropped us off at a nearby spot for lunch which was a perfect and delicious ending to our day trip! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful hike & wonderful guide! - We were scheduled with a tour company called Cartotreckking, our guides name was Vincenzo. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, as well as attentive to all of our needs. Our tour included a stop for lunch with a shepherd - highly recommend this option as it was just what we needed 1/2 way through the hike! At the end of the hike Vincenzo helped us get on the Positano shuttle rather than take the 1700 stairs option. This was above and beyond his duty and much appreciated because the local Italian people pushed their way onto the shuttle like a mob, cutting in front of the tourists. Our situation was actually frightening and the bus driver had to scream at the people to control the crowd. Vincenzo politely explained that the locals feel overwhelmed with all the tourism. While the tour guides have training in customer service, the locals do not, and some protest by pushing their way in front of tourists. Be aware and prevent others from cutting in front of you!

Fantastic Experience - What a fantastic experience! Our private hike with Marco was exceptional. Marco was knowledgeable about the area and gave us interesting facts regarding the history of the path and plants/ flowers along the way. The views were absolutely amazing. Parts of the hike were challenging ( for 68 year old knees), but well worth it. I would recommend this tour and Marco ( the hooligan) to everyone interested in taking part of a hike. Loved it!!!

All beautiful and great professionalism of all the staff!!! - Beautiful experience!!!! Thanks to the Great Mrs. Tommasina who followed us step by step to organize the tour from the first to the last day and the talented Marco Marotta who accompanied us along the way, making us spend a beautiful day. Marco, welcomed us from the square of Bomerano (Agerola) and, with expert advice, showed us where to get something to eat before embarking on the path. Along the way he showed us breathtaking landscapes, indicated stories and customs of the place, made us know more about the whole route, made a little break from the shepherd Antonio and finally, taken to Nocelle, where he showed us the way to take the bus to get to Positano and then continue to Amalfi and back up to Agerola. Great guy, very prepared, very nice, great communicator and certainly excellent company, with him we made a spectacular trip!! I STRONGLY recommend calling Cartotrekking for excursions on the Amalfi coast, also because honestly, the value for money is great, you do the trails knowing many nuances, safely and always in good company and sympathy. A BIG THANK YOU then to all the excellent organization and seriousness of CARTOTREKKING!!!

Unforgettable- don’t miss it! - Vincenzo was fabulous - full of interesting info, charming, patient and clearly an experienced tour guide. The hike was spectacular - probably the highlight of our trip. No need to be scared by the folks who say it is too challenging if you are reasonably fit (without knee issues). The views were incomparable. Just do it!

Vince is great! - Vince was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide for our hike on the Path of the Gods! He shared many interesting stories along the way and he took us to great places for photos and even served as our photographer! At the end of the hike, he went out of his way to make sure we got on a bus going down into Positano which would have been tricky for us to navigate on our own. Vince made it a great day!

Our guide made all the difference - Enrico, our guide, was phenomenal! He was knowledgeable, courteous, and a pleasure to spend a few hours with... if you have an opportunity to request him I highly recommend it. The hike and scenery are absolutely gorgeous, but all the more so with someone who can explain details of local plants and wildlife, as well as vast knowledge of the history of the region. Bravo Enrico... Gracie mile!!!

Fantastic views with great company - The guides were excellent and very knowledgeable with added humour. The morning was so much cooler than the afternoon, so recommend taking water to last the day, but you do stop for lunch in a shepherd's hut who provided the best hospitality with fun entertainment with fantastic food. The goats cheese and tomato were so tasty! I would highly recommend this trip but in summer months wear clothes that cope with loads of sweat!

Magnificent - Without a doubt this hike is one of the most beautiful paths in the world. Each turn has its own unique beauty heightening the senses. Our Shepards lunch was the highlight of our journey tasting the freshest goat milk ever milked yesterday from the herd of goats we actually met and watched being milked. Truly a magnificent experience with our guide made all the difference..

Stunning views but not easy! - This was a bucket list hike of mine. The hike is rated easy to moderate. I would disagree. It was hard. We live in the USA in a flat state. The hike was challenging with lots of upward inclines, some scrambles and often in the sun. I am 60 years old and work out daily but was not prepared for the intensity of the trail.I would do it again but with hiking shoes. We had gym shoes and hiking poles. The path is not very well marked. We were dropped off at the wrong starting point and ended up on another path which added 4 hours to the hike then it met up with the Path of Gods. There was a water stop plus 2 spots to buy lemonade or other drinks along the path. When you end in the town of Nocelle it is very confusing to get to Positano. To get to Positano you can walk down the 1800 steps and walk 1 km on Amalfi Drive or take a local bus. The local bus arrives in the parking lot above where the hike ends. You need to walk to the end of the path, walk along the sidewalk to the end and go up 90 stairs. The bus picked up at the end of the parking lot by the Lemon Point stand.
