Thai Cooking in Phuket with Wooddy Kitchen Experience - We booked our Thai cooking experience with Chef Wooddy directly through his website, saving money compared to the street agents. Along with my wife and friends we were picked up from the hotel for a private, hands-on culinary adventure. The day began with a visit to the local markets, which was an experience in itself. Wooddy explained the ingredients in detail, including how coconut milk is extracted using machines—quite different from the natural milk obtained by cracking the nut. We also selected fresh vegetables and herbs, adding authenticity to every dish we would prepare. The cooking class took place in a stunning location nestled in the mountain valley of Kata Beach, with breathtaking views of the Big Buddha. The area was surrounded by a lush tropical fruit and vegetable garden, which framed the outdoor kitchen beautifully. We wandered through the garden, picking kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and Thai basil straight from the earth. This added a tactile joy to the experience, grounding each recipe in freshness and intention. Wooddy encouraged us to taste, adjust, and trust our instincts. Cooking Thai food with him was unforgettable—equal parts flavorful, fun, and full of heart. From pounding curry paste to balancing sweet, sour, salty, and spicy notes, every step was hands-on and deeply immersive. His passion and storytelling brought each dish to life, connecting ingredients to culture and tradition. We crafted classics like fried chicken with cashew nuts, tom yum king prawn soup, and Thai green chicken curry, while also exploring lesser-known gems. Wooddy’s guidance was warm and precise, making complex techniques feel approachable. The aromas, the laughter, the shared bites—it all felt like a celebration. It’s an absolute must! - Fantastic afternoon spent with Wooddy and his family. He was very informative about all the lovely local ingredients. The cooking part was the best, he really had it organised so well. And the end result was amazing tasty Thai food. I would say best meal we’ve had in Thailand and I made it! ☺️

Amazing cooking class! - Awesome day starting with a visit to the local markets followed by fruit tasting, cooking class and garden tour. Was a great experience especially all the yummy things we got to cook ourselves and then eat. Yummy!

Cooking - Everything brilliant. Never cooked a meal before until now really enjoyed my experience. Woody and Staff amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The length of visit was really good for the price. This experience is best for everyone and anyone with or without cooking experiences. The crowd size we had was very good where we had 1-1 assistance which helped us learn new techniques to take home! Thank you Woody and your amazing staff for the experience!

Amazing cooking class! - We attended Woody’s cooking class yesterday afternoon and we had an incredible time. We were so amazed at the hospitality of Woody and his fellow staff members. They were also kind, helpful and hilarious. We really enjoyed spending some time with Woody at the market where he told us about unique Thai fruits, vegetables and ingredients that were grown at different seasons across Thailand. We went back to the kitchen where Woody then taught us to make some dishes of our choice. We chose to make Tom Yung, Tom Ka, Pad See Ew and banana fritters. The dishes were delicious and Woody was able to teach us how to adjust the flavours as per our preference. Included in the price we were given bottles of water all the ingredients and equipment a novelty apron to take home and the recipes sent over to us on WhatsApp. We are so happy with our souvenirs and can’t wait to get cooking when we get home again. We were able to contact with Woody and book via WhatsApp then paying cash on arrival which was very efficient and in a way worked out cheaper than booking online with a tour app. Overall, we thought it was an incredible experience for the price that we paid and we are so grateful to Woody and the team for giving us such a great afternoon. I strongly recommend booking this experience as you will love it!

FANTASTIC COOKING EXPERIENCE - A Trip to Phuket is not complete without spending a few hours with Wooddy and his team!! We did a Market tour to collect the ingredients needed for the cook. We then arrived at his facility and prepared everything from scratch. Cooked 4 different meals and then got to eat them. Wooddy speaks great English is super knowledgeable and explained every step of the way. His helpers were happy to help the less experienced. This activity is good for all levels of cooking experience, and he was flexible changing the dishes to suit those with allergies Highly recommended!! Thanks Wooddy, and your team for a great day!!

LEARING TO COOK IS GREAT FUN AND INSPIRING - Wooddy is the best host. Picked me up and went to markets to buy ingredients. I got to do the curry paste with pestle & morter instead of it being done in blender. It was an amazing experience not just to learn about ingredients and flavour, and not only to cook and eat it as well. Also, I want to share as I did, and I think I got Wooddy's approval. This was so inspirational, and I can't wait to share my cooking with my friends and family.
