Professional team to ensure our safety and great view of the sunrise and Phoenix. - Early start at 4am to catch the sunrise. Shane, Matthew, and Michelle were complete professional and made sure our flight was smooth. Great narration of Phoenix surrounding. We had fun.

A must do - This was amazing!!! Apparently there are usually 20 balloons riding usually and we were 1 of 3 that actually flown. It was a great experience and beautiful sight! Shane(i believe that was his name) was our flight guy and he was amazing! made sure we stayed safe but also had some fun!

I’m afraid of heights but… - I’m afraid of heights, but this was one of the most magical experiences of my life. It was so peaceful the higher up we went. The pilot was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, and clearly experienced. He made us laugh, pointed out interesting landmarks, and even gave us a little history about ballooning. The landing was smooth, and we ended the ride with a toast to celebrate. If you’re thinking about it.. do it. This is one of those bucket-list experiences that’s 100% worth it.

What an awesome... - What an awesome experience and what a great way to celebrate my birthday. It was a truly unique experience watching them set up the hot air balloons and taking off one by one until it was our turn. Soaring over the desert was just a incredible experience.

Do not book with this company - This was the worst experience ever. The safety of myself and my friends were at risk!! They were way too many people on the balloon. It didn’t not look or feel safe!!!

Untrustworthy - I was running a few minutes behind, I spoke with the tour guide and told him that I would be at the location in 8 minutes. He stated that he would wait the 8 minutes until I arrived. When I arrived, he was gone and wouldn’t answer the phone! If he couldn’t wait he should’ve said that during the call instead of lying. Don’t book with this company! They are untrustworthy!

Never again! - I would never book with Viator, had to wait hours to get information regarding a refund, refused to be refunded for an outing I didn’t even attend/wasnt able to attend. Viator and the Sonoran Desert Hot Air Balloon people kept my money. Spoke with the tour operator person and he was 0 help, he said they were booked until November, which is okay but refund me…why keep money for an excursion they didn’t attend? Don’t book with Viator. Go through YELP, Google, and Groupon, MUCH better deals!

Absolutely horrible - I wish I had taken the other terrible reviews more seriously. My group was treated terribly by the pilot Shane. He was initially rude to his young female assistant which was concerning bc we were on a girls trip and he was equally as rude to us. Our trip lasted about 5 minutes because his attitude made us extremely uncomfortable. He refused to answer any normal questions about what we were seeing and made it clear that he didn’t care if we were having a good experience because he’d already gotten our money and it was non refundable. If you are in the least bit nervous about the hot air balloon experience this is not the tour for you. There is no comforting language or communication of what to expect. He wouldn’t turn on the air conditioner in the van or open the windows. Ot was so uncomfortable. They even refused to take our picture. The last straw was the mimosa toast where he refused to give my diabetic friend less juice. He said “I make them the way I make them if you don’t like oh well. At that point I asked him what we’d done wrong to be treated so poorly. I initially thought he was racist or sexist but based on the reviews he’s rude to all different types of people.
