• Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit - Viharn Phra Mongkol Bophit is a spacious assembly hall that houses the Phra Mongkhon Bophit, one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddha statues, sculpted in 1538. The term “Viharn” denotes an assembly hall in a Buddhist temple, while “Phra Mongkol Bophit” is the name of the Buddha statue it contains. The statue was relocated and preserved under various Thai kings and underwent several restorations following incidents like lightning strikes and fire damage.
