• Orussey Market - Orussey is one of the busiest neighborhoods in Phnom Penh, often referred to as Chinatown due to the prevalence of Cantonese speakers. We explore the shaded alleys and narrow back streets where locals enjoy strong coffee and street food is prepared right before our eyes. The market’s perimeter is lined with shops and stalls, making it an excellent spot for portraits and street photography!
• Mekong River - We will cross the Mekong River to visit a local community living along its banks. Here, we can capture stunning photos of the Phnom Penh skyline and observe the lifestyle just a short distance from the city center.
• Mekong River - Get up close with novice Buddhist monks at a Buddhist temple boarding school. Enjoy the tranquility and scenic views of countryside villages and lotus flower fields. Experience the authentic Cambodia just 20 minutes from the city.
• Chroy Changvar Bridge - This is a reality check as we meet the Cham fishing community, nomadic people living along the Tonle Sap River. Primarily living off the land and adapting to the seasons, they can be seen in their brightly painted boats crossing the river. We get up close for marvelous portraits and perhaps a reportage-style series of photos of this friendly Muslim community living on the fringes of society. Great and unique photo opportunities here!
• Sisowath Quay - Return to the “Riverside” for a cold drink, review the photo tour, and receive valuable feedback on your images if desired. We discuss your technique and composition while enjoying the views as evening sets in over tropical Phnom Penh.
