Kun Khmer, also known as Pradal Serey, is a traditional kickboxing style from Cambodia, dating back to the 9th century. It was originally taught to Angkor Warriors for the defense of Angkor Wat. This dynamic fighting style includes stand-up strikes and clinches, featuring punches, kicks, elbow, and knee strikes. The clinch technique is used to exhaust the opponent, with fighters employing short-range kicks and elbows to gain dominance. Cambodian fighters are renowned for their frequent use of elbow strikes, often securing victories with this technique more than any other strike.
