A must see when in Phnom Penh - Fascinating day to see see horrific brutality by the Khmer Rouge against their own people . Our guide gave us a great insight to what happened there in the mid 70s as he had told us that he had lost family to this brutal regime

Sad experience but a must do - Emotionally draining and hit close to home with so many victims near the ages of our own children and family. The tree where the children were taken I couldn’t bear to listen to our guide, we walked away. There was an awful smell in the pit where the children were buried it didn’t seem to worry the rest of our group but our family could smell it. We are spiritually inclined therefore tend to pick up on things that most others wouldn’t. We also choose to only take 1 photo within the fields our flower tribute to the fallen. This wasn’t the time or place to be taking happy snaps or even serve as a reminder on our camera roll. It is a must visit I wouldn't recommend taking any children under the age of 12 but I guess every has a different opinion. Our daughter was 14 and it affected her greatly but she already knew the history behind the fields.

Amazing experience learning about the era of the Khmer Rouge - Sam was our guide and did a fantastic job. He had such a positive energy and told stories well that made it a pleasure to listen to him. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour too. The tour itself was powerful and enlightening. It provokes a lot of emotion and teaches you a lot. I found the experience very interesting and would recommend it to everyone.

Cambodia History and the KHMER ROUGE. - This is an excellent tour that teaches the whole history of Cambodia and the Atrocities of the Kmer Rouge impact during recent times. Harrowing to say the least, with an opportunity to speak and but a book at S21 prison from the last remaining survivors. Our guide was extremely professional and informative. 👍👍

Make Sure they comply pick up. - “I booked a pickup from my hotel (Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel) and the afternoon (1:30) slot for a tour. After I paid, the tour company contacted me, saying they weren’t offering the afternoon slot and couldn’t provide pickup because my hotel was on the other side of the river. They asked me to come to a hotel of their choice (Amanjaya Hotel). I went ahead with the tour because I didn’t have time to waste, but their actions cost me an extra $10 for a tuk-tuk.”
