Half day oyster tour - We had an amazing oyster tasting experience. Virginia and Joe were amazing and very knowledgeable about oysters and oyster farming. We first had an intimate oyster and wine tasting and then got on a boat to visit the oyster farm where we learned to shuck oysters and taste more of them. If you love oysters this tour is definitely a must.

A view with incredible oysters! - We had an incredible time on this tour. Virginia shares her wealth of knowledge on Oysters, from how they're raised, the different tastes by region, and pairs them with the perfect wine. Andy is a complete delight, working behind the scenes and whipping up an amazing lobster roll. Then we finished the day with Joe. He took us out on his boat, and gave us a first hand experience in harvesting oysters from from the water! It was just a great day, thank you!

Unique dining experience in Maine - While visiting Maine over the weekend several of my friends and I had a wonderful dining experience with Lady Oyster Tours. Listed as a half day adventure we enjoyed delicious seafood paired with selections of wine as we were schooled about the regions oysters, served by the gracious hostess “Lady Oyster” and her husband Warwick. The entire experience was absolutely delightful as were we surrounded by the lovely Maine coastline scenery. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a unique dining experience served up by these charming and knowledgeable folks who make you feel like you’re one of the family.

One-of-a-kind Maine experience off the beaten path! - I booked the half day seafood experience while my brothers and sister-in-law were visiting Maine from the West Coast. Everything about this experience felt so special and unique. Located in a tiny village off the beaten path, this felt so charming and authentically Maine - in a way that so many of my usual go-to activities for visitors have lost as they’ve become overrun with summertime tourists. Our experience began with an oyster tasting with sparkling wine pairing (mocktails available for the sober / sober curious!). We then enjoyed lobster rolls and chips before boarding Captain Joe’s boat to tour the oyster farm and explore the beautiful midcoast. On the boat, Captain Joe showed us how to shuck oysters while we enjoyed delicious rum cocktails he whipped up. We were lucky with the timing of the tides and also got to watch a bunch of seals resting on the rocks while we shucked! The evening ended with a beautiful sunset. I will definitely be coming back, hopefully later this year with some local girlfriends, for the winter experience at Lady Oyster! Virginia, Captain Joe and their team were wonderful from start to finish. I would 10/10 recommend!!

Highlight of Our Trip to Maine - This was truly our favorite part of our trip to Maine. It was so personal and fun, and they oysters were amazing! It’s so fun to learn about something from people who are so passionate about it. We got lucky with beautiful weather and the patio is such a lovely space.

Picturesque, delicious, educational, and designed with the utmost attention to detail! - This tasting was absolutely stunning, from start to finish, and Virginia is a total treasure. Let's paint a picture: an idyllic rocky coastline in Maine at the heart of a small community, stepping inside a cozy, sunny tasting room at Maine Oyster Company. The sun was shining through during its golden hour, fresh flowers were picked, the settings were picturesque, and the room was lined with windows on all sides to look out over the water. Only 3 of us were there, so we essentially had a private tasting. It was a windy day, so we popped up to the roof for a champagne toast and 360 view before returning to the tasting room for the tasting itself. Virginia and her husband Warwick were a trove of information and insight. As we went through the tasting (featuring 3 farms, 4 oysters from each), Virginia took us through every vibrant detail. We each had maps of the coast where we marked the spot of each farm and why its waters were good for oysters; booklets where we could write down oyster types and flavors; and a brand new oyster flavor wheel, which is just about as nuanced as wine. We even got a lesson in shucking. Speaking of wine, each pairing was perfectly complementary. Even the homemade mignonette and Lady Oyster hatch chili sauce were fantastic (and available online!). And my god... the focaccia. (Not available online :/) Would 100% do this tasting again. Virginia knows her craft well - everything from the oyster within its shell to the environment that produced it.

Greatest seafood experience! - One of the greatest experiences I have done. Every detail was perfectly planned out and the entire team went above and beyond for our entire group. This tour had way more than we expected: -Boat tour to oyster farm was a perfect fit of teaching and eating unlimited oysters straight out of the water. With great cocktails out on the water. -Oyster tasting was 90 minutes of Virginia teaching you how to taste oysters, what makes an oyster good vs great, what flavors to look for. With wine flowing the whole time. -Dinner with a lobster bake having the best lobster you will have in your life.
