- Orient Beach and Maho Beach. Your friendly guide will deliver you to Orient Bay Beach where jet skiing, sailing and paragliding are among the water activities on offer (own expense). You’ll have plenty of beach bars and restaurants to choose from before watching aircraft fly overhead at Maho Beach. With your proximity to Princess Juliana International Airport, you’ll be a jet setter on this half-day shore excursion that includes complimentary refreshments and round-trip transport.
- It is recommended that you bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen
- Minimum age to consume alcohol is 18 years
- Note: tour departure time is based on local island time, not cruise ship time
- During the winter season (November-March) there is an additional departure time of 10am. The 9am departure time is available year-round

Orient Beach and Maho Beach 2025 - Great day of beach time in St. Maarten! Our driver/guide was Johnny! He was great, kept us on time and highlighted interesting points of interest along the way back to ship!

Must see - Great experience! David was great! Maho beach was crowded, there were 4 cruise ships when we went. Would definitely recommend.

Very happy - This tour is one of the best to take. It's only about 5 hours and you get to see almost all of the island. We stayed at a hotel and was picked up and dropped there on time. The two stops we made was plenty enough time to enjoy and not be rushed. Our driver was the best!

Two beach tour. - Captain K was great. Orient beach much better but it was fun watching the planes land so close. Getting a lounge chair wirh umbrella and two drinks for $10 at Orient well worth it.

Skip Maho beach, especially if you’re on a cruise - Driver gave us a choice of the amount of time we could stay at each beach. He should have mentioned that Maho beach would be packed, as in literally standing room only. I would go there for 10 minutes just to see the planes fly overhead and then spend the rest of the time on Orient beach or touring the island.

Orient/Maho Beach tour- Fun! - The experience itself was great! Our driver did a great job pointing out the highlights during our ride and telling us about the areas.
We did not get any instructions on where to find the tour/bus when getting off the ship so we were 10 min late. Allow plenty of time as they are not located where the normal tours are in the St Maarten port. I would've like more time on Orient Beach and less time in the very crowded Maho although so cool to see the planes. It is definitely not a place to relax. You will be dropped off at one end of Orient beach encouraging you to hang out at this one little bar - walk down further and there are other little restaurants, shops and places to sit on the beach that are much nicer.

Great tour - Tour guide/driver King David was brilliant - informative and funny. Tour was great. Maho beach was very busy and all the sunbeds had gone but fun watching the planes land over your hard. Orient Beach beautiful but bear in mind that right hand side is a nudist beach.

Orient and Maho Beach half day tour - The actual experience was ok but our driver was grumpy and I felt quite rude. No idea where to pick up your. Ticket said St Maarten port but it was actually in the EDC car park. No one I asked could tell me where the tour could be found. My husbands mobility isn’t good so I was running around trying to find it and then go back and get him from where I’d gotten him a seat. The first beach was nice but sunset beach where the planes landed was mobbed and we couldn’t even get on the beach. My own fault as I didn’t know six cruise ships would be in on that day. Reckon those 20,000 visitors were all on the roads that day. Not the tour operators fault so I’m guessing it would’ve been a better outing with less people. Trip description says Maho Beach- our driver was quite pedantic. We weren’t going there - immediately everyone is up in arms as they want to see the planes. We’e going to sunset beach as the maho beach is behind the maho hotel he says. All said, it’s an interesting and unusual sight. I just picked the wrong day. Great for young ones too. With a different driver and on a different day it would have been much more fun. If the beach and close up planes landing is your thing then it’s still good to go on.
