MUST DO - MUST DO! Very early morning (pick up at about 5am, dependent on time of year). Back to the resort before suppertime. Great hike, Starts with a 520 step climb tp get to the rim...that's the hardest part. Easier after that, but still many more ups and downs, just shorter ones. Good exercise. Bring LOTS of water, particularly in the hot months. Park regulations stipulate 3L per person. On the resort, buy bottled water at the Shell gas station....much cheaper that at the hotels. Or at the IGA grocery store, but not sure about their prices.

Do yourself a favour, take the challenge of KC walk with supportive informative staff! - Being not a great morning person the 4.15am start didn’t really appeal, however do yourself a favour, make the effort!!! On arrival our tour crew, Chloe, Haley and Jess were outstanding, they catered to all of us, easily placing overseas tourists, locals, us older people and the younger people at ease. They were engaging and provided interesting commentary and facts all day. Breakfast at Kings Creek Station was a bacon and eggs affair for me but there were also healthier options. Then it was on to the Rim Walk at King Canyon. The first 200 steps had people struggling, but being allowed to ascend at a leisurely pace and being encouraged by the guides ensured we all made it to the top and the start of the walk around the rim. The staff were awesome pointing out areas of interest and providing informative commentary. The views and photo opportunities were outstanding. Though I am not an ‘influencer’ I could picture influencers creating outstanding content all around this walk! The spectacular views and scenery cannot be captured via camera….you really just need to do this walk! Although only 6.65km (via the gps watch) it is quite difficult for those that may have limited fitness. The mid morning/midday sun also takes a toll on the south side of the walk, make sure you suck down the water. The walk down is also quite challenging, but the reward of completing this walk is well worth it. Lunch at the Kings Canyon resort was welcomed and the journey back to Yulara was relaxing. A stop at Atila for photos and also at Curtain Springs roadhouse were also a step back in time. We loved this tour, and the staff running it were outstanding!

Perfect day trip - worth every minute and every dollar - What a way to fill a day! I joined Glen and Cole for a tour of Kings Canyon. I did the creek walk after trying the steps for the 6km walk and finding my body was not up to the task. Glen dealt with that decision with compassion and competence. I enjoyed the walk along the creek bed with Cole learning much about the flora, fauna and geology. It was a 38degree day and it was not for the faint hearted. You can not carry too much water on these days. You need it all. The bus carried fill ups which was much appreciated. We stopped for a great cooked breakfast prior. Seeing camels and meeting Bruce the donkey. We learned of the value of the area and its resources via Glens commentary on the drive. Afterwards we had lunch at Kings Canyon Resort. Some people swam. Some took the helicopter over the canyon. It was a full day but with naps on the drive and a pit stop at Mt Conners cattle station for ice cream on the way home, it was a comfortable 13hrs. Highly recommend.

Stunning scenery, breathtaking views and unforgettable experience - We did a day tour to Kings Canyon from Uluru with AAT Kings, and it was an unforgettable experience! We departed early in the morning, and our first stop was at Kings Creek Cattle and Camel Station for a delicious breakfast, great start for the day ahead. After breakfast, we set off to Kings Canyon. We opted for the shorter walk along the creek bed, which was absolutely breathtaking. The guide was fantastic—knowledgeable and passionate about the region's flora and fauna. They pointed out various plants and explained their significance, enhancing our appreciation for the stunning landscape around us. We had a refreshing swim in the pool at Kings Canyon Resort, which was the perfect way to cool off after our walk. Following that, we enjoyed a hearty lunch before heading back. The return journey included two more scenic stops, each offering unique views of the surrounding landscape. The combination of stunning scenery, engaging commentary, and the chance to swim made it a perfect day out. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of the Australian Outback!

Great hike in the Centre of Australia! - Chloe & Hayley from AAT Kings took us around King's Canyon Rim Walk and we had a very enjoyable time! Chloe shared her knowledge about the vegetation and surroundings we hiked on and the views were incredible. Definitely worth a trip out there :)

A very enjoyable and informative tour. Highly recommended. - This was an excellent and informative tour and well worth the early morning start. I learnt lots about many aspects of Central Australia, in particular Uluṟu, Kata-Tjuta, and Kings Canyon from our friendly and highly knowledgeable tour guides, including the coach driver, Dan. Topics ranged from geography, geology, history, fauna to flora. Some of the sights were breathtakingly beautiful. Do not expect too much from the breakfast, though.

Kings Canyon NT Kings awesome tour - from pick up in comfortable coach to the drop off was a great experience. The 2 guides Chloe & Jess were professional, fun and encouraging well versed on local knowledge along with coach driver. I have to express my gratitude to the guides I unfortunately experienced near heat stroke toward last kilometre they showed empathy & great support to get me to end. The hike with sensational scenery was absolutely worth the effort it was extreamy hot on the rim with track closed after we went through.

Challenging hike but worth the effort - Early morning departure from the Uluru resort (4 am). About 3 hour drive to Kings Station and breakfast. Another short drive to arrive at Kings Canyon. Two options for the hike, challenging one across the rim and easier along the riverbed depending on your abilities. If you are capable the challenge is worth the views. 500 natural stairs to the rim and rough terrain on the walk. Hayley was the tour guide and Dave the driver. Both were very good. My only complaint would be it nice to know in advance you must have at least 3 liters of water per person to avoid the expense at Kings Station and the walk is at a pretty fast pace. A little more time to take in the views and pictures would be better. Overall a great experience.

Tiring but satisfying trip - Well organised tour. Everything to time. The guides and the bus driver were all experienced and entertaining. kept us well informed throughout the trip. It is however, quite a long drive 3.5 hours each way from Uluru and so a long day.
