Once in a lifetime experience! Luis was a wonderful guide. - Luis was an exceptional tour guide and described a lot of regional history and agriculture on the way to and from the turtle release site. At the turtle sanctuary, which is located on a beautiful beach, Luis and the staff explained the lifecycle of the different turtles and the role of the sanctuary in sustaining their populations. Due the small size of the group everyone hand the opportunity to be hands on and experience these amazing creatures close up. A great experience!

Amazing experience!! - My family and I are so grateful to Mr. De la Maza, for so blessed experience. They pick up from the hotel at time, transportation was very safe and secure. You need to understand that we going to nature, so the way to go inside undamaged beach is rustic. Baltazar ( turtle's protector), explained very well why he and his brother go every night to rescue the eggs and protect their hatching. We released about 80 babies, praying 🙏 and hoping they will return in 10 or 20 years as adults and continue this beautiful circle, damaged by bad humans. I recommend to everyone coming to Ixtapa to do this. You will never forget or regret it.

The most amazing scenery and turtle release. - We had Luis pick us up in his van and we drove approx 45mins to an area where we were able to get a ride through the jungle on 2 quads. It was amazing. We ended up at the ocean where we released some baby turtles. The ocean was absolutely untouched and pristine. The turtle release tour operators spoke only Spanish and Luis translated for us. They all were very kind and professional. It was the most amazing day! Total time approx 3 hours.

What an adventure ! - What an amazing day, started off with Luis going through little Mexican towns beautiful flowers plants coconut trees, agricultural and local livestock. Interesting scenery we would not have experienced as a tourist visiting for the first time. Then the turtle experience. So appreciate the educational experience learning about the different species of turtles and the conservation efforts and beyond impressive. We have a completely different knowledge and appreciation of the journey these beautiful creatures have to endure. We will forever look at turtles differently. Luis is so knowledgeable and professional. Will recommend this tour to anyone we know headed this way.

Baby turtle release tour. - Wound up being a private tour for two people. Do to low census of vacationers at the time. Nice for us getting individual attention. Rode about 45 mins put of town. Arrived at a small village near the ocean. The part i didn't count on, was the two of us having to tide on the back of an ATV to the beach. Roughly 1/2 a mile. Our driver did take it sliw since the road there is a bit rough. Once we arrived there was a small covered enclosure where we sat and got a informative lecture on the process on hoe eggs where collected and placed in pens. Baby turtles were already dug up. We got to pick up each turtle to place in a bowl or release. We then walked down to the beach and carefully tip the bowl and let the baby turtles run through the water. It is really quite an experience. The private tour was nice in one way, however I have done a turtle release twice before in Ixtapa, and I do enjoy the look and excitement on the other tourists as they’re doing the same thing. Just my opinion. It still was great!
