Participants will gather and commence a walking tour of Perugia, exploring its ancient Roman ruins.
During the tour, participants will also experience the ambiance of a medieval Italian hilltown by visiting local handicraft shops and strolling through charming little alleys.
After a lunch break (not included), the group will proceed to Assisi. The highlight of the tour there will be the Basilica of Saint Francis, featuring magnificent frescoes by Giotto (13th - 14th C.), one of Italy’s most significant artists of the Middle Ages.
- Fontana Maggiore - The upper marble basin has twelve sides divided into twenty-four smooth panels of pink Assisi stone.
