On this tour, we will drive through the mountains of the Sacred Valley, which played a key role in Inca culture and history. The Valley has a milder climate and is at a lower altitude than Cusco. You will see a succession of picturesque villages, ancient Incan terraces, and the most important archeological sites. The tour ends in Cusco approximately 6:30 PM. Upon arrival in Cusco we drop you by your hotel.

This Sacred Valley tour offers the most comprehensive view of the Cusco region. The valley between Ollantaytambo and Pisac is known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On this tour, you’ll drive through the mountains of the valley, which has a milder climate and is at a lower altitude than Cusco and which played a key role in the culture and history of the Incas.
In just 1 day you’ll visit the most important archeological sites of the region including Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. As well as the famous circular terraces of Moray and the unique stepped salt mines of Maras. Complete with your own private transport and tour guide.

Great private tour - We booked a private tour for 4 adults and had an excellent day with our tour guide Ramiro. The private tour allowed us to go at our own pace at each site. Each stop was 30-60 minutes apart so we were never in the vehicle for too long. Ramiro was very knowledgeable about each of the sites which allowed us to appreciate what we were seeing to a much greater extent.

The best of sacred valley on a well thought out tour - It was a great experience, for our group with 2 seniors, 2 children and 2 adults, the agency planned everything very well according to our group, without hurry we managed to visit the best of the sacred valley. Your guide Sunday entertaining for both children and adults, very friendly and knowledgeable of the places. Definitely unforgettable.

Best Time in Cusco - We had a wonderful day exploring the sacred valley with Sandro. We saw so many amazing and breathtaking sites and learned a lot along the way. Sandro was the best guild. He was super attentive, knowledgeable and made the whole tour a great experience. Big shout out to Hallam, our driver. It was not an easy drive but he made it look simple and took good care of us. Definitely a tour worth taking and hope you get Sandro and Hallan, they weee amazing!

You can trust the MVP! They crashed!!! - My experience with the Machu Picchu Viajes Peru to the Sacred Valley was sensational! I could feel part of that wonderful Andean landscape! People, I lived unforgettable moments in Maras (the Salineiras are cinematic!), in Moray the circular terraces left me boquaiberta! The villages of Pisac and Ollantaytambo are lovely and great for making my comminhas! Finally, I recommend mostly for the attention I received from the guide, always attentive to the needs of the passengers, and for having let me stay long enough to appreciate everything! Thanks MVP!

Amazing 1 day private tour - This was an excellent day tour. Our guide, Sandro, and our driver, Ernesto, were both excellent. We were picked up at about 8 o’clock at our hotel in a luxury van. Through the entire tour, Sandro explained everything so clearly. We asked a ton of questions and he was so informative! Ernesto was a great driver. Got us every place safely. Highly highly recommend!

So much to see!! We loved it. - We enjoyed our visits to all the sights- especially the Salt Mines and Morey! Honestly they were all great. Lunch was a delicious buffet, though interestingly our group was split across three restaurants- based on the booking platform I believe. Anyway - be warned it is a looooong day, and the roads are bumpy and windy. If you tend towards car sickness, bring some meds!

Private Tour to Sacred Valley - I am an experienced traveler who has taken many guided tours before. The description of the sites was basically accurate, however, we booked a private tour with an English-speaking guide and his English skills were below what we expected and he was at times difficult to understand. He was a poor communicator and took little interest in engaging in conversation with us. His knowledge was conveyed robotically as though from a script. As an alternative I would have preferred to arrange my own transportation and taken my information from the signage. As it was I felt rushed and did not have time to read the signs. Of the four sites we visited only Ollantaytoma and Pisac were worthwhile. Travel between sites on long and bumpy roads should be clarified in the tour description. At the end of the tour the guide was rude and dismissive. If the guide had been personable I would have rated the tour a four.
