Once in a lifetime experience - Could not recommend this trip more. Planned to perfection with great activities but also enough spare time to chill / cool down in the pool. There is no AC or hot water - but we were pleased for the cold shower! We are both gluten free and the kitchen were great with accommodating this. Our guide Ronal was fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate with a good sense of humour. He really made our experience. Make sure you take lots of repellent - we covered ourselves and have hardly come away with any bites. Lovely pina colada at the bar! And the pool is a really good size - just make sure you take your repellent there with you! The 4 day 3 night tour was perfect - a good range of activities / earlier and later mornings. FYI the boat on the last day leaves at 9 AM so you will be back in Peurto Maldonado by 10 if you have a flight later in the day :) 100% would recommend this trip! Thank you!

Amazing Tour - Outstanding tour. Our guide, Ronal (might have misspelled his name) was fantastic. I've read some other reviews and I'm not sure what the other users were expecting; with this tour you are in the jungle with no air conditioning and no hot water to shower with. I actually loved having it this way, making it a very authentic experience. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my elderly mother, always checking up on her and asking me how she was doing. All meals were fresh and home-made. If you are looking for a rainforest tour in Puerto Maldonado, look no further than this tour, highly recommended. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Great Experience, Staff, and Value! - Great food and accommodations! Fernando was our Guide. He was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of spotting animals and explaining the science and indigenous history. We saw capuchin and squirrel monkeys, (heard howlers) , black and white caiman, Macaws, capybaras, heron, piranhas, tarantulas, giant grasshoppers, frogs, turtles, tons of birds, a tree boa constrictor, I caught a catfish in the river—- this was worth every penny - great staff!

All around a very nice jungle experience - We had a very nice experience. The food was great and often three courses. Our guide Ronal was very friendly and explained a lot to us about the jungle and life in Peru. We can definitely recommend the lodge. Be sure to bring good mosquito spray. The tours in the jungle were also very interesting and doable for everyone.

Awesome, memorable tropicalwilderness experience - It was an awesome experience. The lodge is clean and the staff is friendly. Fernando, who was our guide, was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. We got to see alligators, otters, and a lot of other cool animals, bugs, and plants up close.

Budget tour with great food & guide - Lots of interesting animals. Food was great and guides were too. Accommodation was very basic and had seen better days. More activities are needed for colder days as there is nothing to do when not on a tour. We left a day early as it was so cold! In warmer weather it would be different but be aware that it’s cold showers and no fan/aircon. The windows are mesh and huts made from plywood so super basic but clean.

A unique experience - A unique experience indeed. We saw a tone of amazing wildlife and it was so incredibe to be up close to this nature. The meals provided were good quality. Our tour guide Tito was fantastic also. He was 73 and born in the area. He knew so much and able to answer all of our questions. So the downsides... Be warned that the heat is inescapable. There are no fans or coolers. The only way to cool down was the pool which was warm being in the heat and then the pool turned my blonde hair green!!! We had a lot of downtime and wished we had actually booked the two night option instead. The fishing was at the wrong time of day to actually catch anything. the ziplines are fun, but don't take up much time. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is really enthusiastic about nature and Wildlife. Just make sure you come prepared for the heat and bring a book for all of the downtime you will have.
