Continuing our journey, we make several brief stops along the way. Our next destination is the town of Pisac. Explore the magnificent Inca site and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the town. Following the winding path of the Urubamba River, we finally arrive in Ollantaytambo. Amidst breathtaking natural scenery, we enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant.

In Ollantaytambo, our exploration continues as we delve into the mysteries of the Inca site, marveling at structures that have stood the test of time. We will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we will ensure a transfer to your hotel.

Manos De La Comunidad - Visit the amazing animal center, learn about Andean weaving techniques, pet a llama or alpaca, and even see the Andean condor.

Pisac - One of the most important Inca sites in the Sacred Valley; take a stroll, look around, and learn about this city perched on a mountain.

Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - See the spectacular Ollantaytambo Inca temple.

Ollantaytambo - Step inside the museum, explore the original streets, and think about how the people who live there use the Inca town.

Sunrise at Machu Picchu - Cusco

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Early in the morning, head to the bus station for the 25-minute drive up to Machu Picchu, visit the best spot, and take a guided tour of the citadel. If you choose to go super early, you can reach the citadel in time to see the sunrise over the Inca site. The magnificent handiwork of the Incas is abundantly evident even after centuries; this was first set into place by engineers and architects. The precision of the carved walls contrasts sharply with the wild, green mountains and steep highlands. Huayna Picchu and the Drawbridge are optional places to see and visit. The more adventurous will take a 55-minute climb up the nearby peak of Huayna Picchu. Officials limit the number of visitors to Huayna Picchu to 400 per day, and tickets need to be purchased in advance. After your Machu Picchu day, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and return to Ollantaytambo. Note: Train tickets are not included. We can book them for an extra cost.

Fantastic Trip - My husband and I went on the 2-day trip with Fredy and Inca Soul, and words truly cannot describe what an incredible journey it was! We started in Cusco, where Fredy picked us up in a very comfortable van stocked with plenty of bottled water for the drive. Our first stop was Chinchero, where we learned about traditional indigenous textile craftsmanship and purchased beautiful hand-made goods. We then continued to Maras, the salt mines, Moray, an Inca archaeological site, and finally the charming town of Ollantaytambo. Fredy’s wonderful storytelling brought each destination to life! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch in Ollantaytambo before heading to the train station for our first-class Vistadome journey. Although there was a minor delay (not Fredy’s fault), he kept us entertained and informed throughout. When we arrived in Aguas Calientes, the hotel arranged by the company was perfectly located right by the river; we even left our door open that night to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the water. The next morning, Fredy picked us up early for our sunrise tour of Machu Picchu at 5 a.m. Trust me, it was absolutely worth it! We arrived before the crowds and captured stunning photos of this magical world wonder. Seeing the ruins on your own is one thing, but experiencing them with a knowledgeable local Incan guide like Fredy makes it unforgettable. He shared stories and insights that made the ancient walls come alive. All in all, I would 120% do this trip again with Inca Soul and Fredy. The company handled every detail seamlessly, so all we had to do was show up and enjoy the experience. What an amazing journey. Highly, highly recommended!

Inca Soul & Fredy were amazing!!!!! - Our trip to Peru was absolutely unforgettable, and that was all thanks to Inca Soul! Every part of our itinerary was so well-planned and customized to our groups needs/interests— hotels, transportation (including in the middle of the night to the airport!) , & daily activities. Traveling in Peru without any guidance would’ve been extremely difficult, so I am glad we had Fredy and his team to handle all of the logistics and itinerary!! Fredy was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. His team and other guides were very kind as well and ensured we had a nice trip. I am already missing Peru and thinking of my next trip back, will def use Inca Soul when I return. Highly recommend!!!!

Took the hassle out of everything! - Overall we thought our guide and driver were excellent. What would have made this better? I think some options around where we could eat and maybe the train times to get to Aguas Calientes. We felt this was a great value trip in timing, knowledge of our driver and guide, and cost.

Memorable Peruvian adventure with Inca Soul! - Fredy was fantastic! After speaking with him, we organized much of our Machu Picchu experience with him and his team and it was fabulous! Guido led us on our Inca Trail hike and the logistics were perfectly coordinated - the boxed lunch was especially delicious! The Sacred Valley tour was super scenic, he allowed time for leisurely stops along the way, lots of great photo opportunities. The schedule is flexible, his driver is reliable (clean comfortable vehicles), and we felt completely safe throughout. Inca Soul took care of all the logistics (trains/busses/entrance tickets) so we didn't have to worry about timing and purchasing tickets individually. Everything was on time as scheduled, and the communication was easy and efficient. Highly recommend Fredy and his team at Inca Soul while in Peru!!!

Good communication and informative guide - My guide Valerio was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient. We managed to see all the main Sacred Valley sites on the first day such as Moray, Maras, Pisac and Ollyatentambo. The company also gave me clear directions on how to queue for the last minute Machu Picchu tickets at the office in Aguas Calientes, and I ended up getting trail 2a which is the best classic tour. It was really easy to communicate with the tour company over WhatsApp and I felt the service was extremely personalised. I gave my guide tips but I never felt like he was pushy for them, or at any point that I was being upsold the experience. I am a solo traveller who wanted to get the most informative history and culture tour.

I'm serious, do not book with another company. - If you’re reading this, you’re likely in the planning stage of a major trip. DO NOT do these experiences with a plug-and-play, copy and paste tour company where you’re just another name on a spreadsheet. You deserve better. Inca Soul makes each of their adventures into a genuinely handcrafted experience. I did the 2-day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with them (off a recommendation), and it was truly unforgettable. I was lucky enough to have Freddy, the owner, as my guide, and it ended up being a private tour. Freddy gave me so much insight into the history and culture (I asked a lot of questions), and it was real, deep knowledge. Not just surface level script reading. We even had time for local cultural moments and places most tourists don’t get to see. Freddy also shared his story and how Inca Soul is built differently: all their guides are heavily vetted, they pay their staff fairly (not as common here as it should be), and they use only high-quality gear. Everything about the process was transparent. The pricing, the planning, and the expectations. They answered every question, not just during the trip, but well before I even got to Peru. You can tell they actually care about your experience. You may never come back to Peru. MAKE THE MEMORY COUNT. Book with Inca Soul.

It was a wonderful experience! - We had a great experience! Everything was perfect, from pre-arrangement to tour attendance on the day. As the result was a private tour, we were able to respond to a lot of requests carefully and flexibly. I would love to have another tour when I go to Peru again!

See all of Peru effortlessly with Inca Souls! - Inca Soul has been amazing at organizing everything when we were in and around Cusco. We took three separate tours on three separate days and each one was handled with care and great guides. Honestly, couldn’t recommend them any higher!

Highlight of our honeymoon - We just wrapped up an unforgettable two-day hike on the Inca Trail for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t be happier! Our guide, Elistan, made the whole experience truly special. From the very beginning, he tailored hike to fit our pace and interests. We soaked in every breathtaking view along the way. Elistan’s passion for the history of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was amazing! He showed us some stunning landscapes and hidden gems that you wouldn’t find taking the bus up. Plus, he was always ready with a fun story. Every question we had he were able to answer which was impressive. We loved how flexible the itinerary was, it felt like we were exploring with a friend who genuinely cared about our experience. The first view of Machu Picchu was magical, and Elistan made sure we had the perfect spot to take it all in - he also knew how to take the best photos. We would 100 percent recommend the two day hike to anyone!!
