An incredible long trip where one sees a lot and does a lot with a great local guide. - A wonderful whole day experience to the Colca Canyon with lunch and sightseeing several condors and terminal spas with an incredible tour guide, Rosario.

Excellent trip to Colca Canyon - Colca canyon trip was amazing. The guide was very good. He stopped at every view points for long enough time to explore us. We were lucky to see 5-6 condors flying over the canyon. We went to the hot spring- it was super relaxing. Plus we had great food in both breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend this trip.

Fantastic (long) day - Left our hotel at 3am to do the full Colca Canyon tour from Arequipa. Nice tour full of Peruvians but guide explained it all in English as well. Stopped for traditional breakfast. Inca terraces everywhere in the Canyon. Stopped at a church close to Chivay on the way for a coffee and some photos with Alpacas. Stopped to see the condors. Guides know exactly when to come and see them. We saw 4 or 5 and got great photos. Majestic birds! Ate cactus and pisco sour made from it. You can choose various activities such as horse back riding. We chose the thermal baths. Was busy but nice to relax. Stopped at 16K feet to see a range of mountains - very impressive.

Awesome Experience - highly recommended! - We were fortunate the day we went and were able to see several condors. So graceful when they glide on the thermals. I asked my husband how close he thought one of them got to us. He said it was between 30 - 50 feet away - so amazing. I kept thinking the same condor was "making his rounds" and then I looked up above us and had to quit counting after counting 10 of them because the sun was so bright it was hard to count them all. Well worth getting up early to make the trip as you have to get there early to be able to see the condors in flight. Our guide told us between 8:00 - 10:00 is the best time, but he has seen them as late as 11:00 in the morning.

Don’t buy your tickets from trip advisor or agency - Colca canyon is beautiful.a must see ,to see the condors soar over top your head and experience the canyon and history of the canyon. I suggested you don’t book through a travel agency or trip advisor the charge way to much, through your hostel you can pay 80/s for van pick up and 70/s to get into the park which is half of what the agency and trip advisor is. Works out to be around $60 Canadian.

Wonderful Sights and Wonderful Guides - My friends and I chose this one day tour from Arequipa because it included the ticket to the Colca Canyons and lunch. Not all tours do. It was a spectacularly long day! Yes, you do get up extremely early but you get to see the sunrise over the mountains if you aren't asleep on the van. (It's a nice van with coach bus type seats and they recline.) They picked us up right at our hotel, however, they did pick up locals from their home. (In case you stay at an AirBnB.) The first stop is about 3 hours in for breakfast in Chivay. I do suggest bringing extra food. Breakfast was light. It consisted of bread with butter and jam, papaya juice and hot water for tea/coffee. I need more food to keep me going through the day, especially, as we found out, lunch is pretty much at the end of the tour back in Chivay. This was the only "negative" thing I have to say. Lunch was buffet style. It was wonderful and filling. There are a decent many stops before and after Colca Canyon. I was worried about finding places to go to the bathroom but there are plenty. Some stops had bathrooms that you had to pay/donate to use. Don't forget those Peruvian coins! Also, bring toilet paper! Not all places have toilet paper. May want to add Wet Ones or hand sanitizer just in case. If you are coming from Arequipa like we did, this is the time to get souvenirs. It is much more friendlier in cost, especially for the knitted hats or embroidered hats. Jennalee (don't know how to spell) and Señor Felipe were our guides. Felipe was the driver. Jennalee has such a pleasant voice and very sweet. She spoke in both Spanish/Quechua and English on our tour. I would do it again!!

Super Disappointing - I would not recommend this day trip. My husband and I did it on our last day in Arequipa and wished we hadn't wasted the time. The Colca Canyon is beautiful and we did see a few Condors. The hot springs looked nice, like they were recently updated. If you want to see those attractions I wouldn't discourage you but I wouldn't book it here.We were picked up at 3:30am and were told breakfast was provided. Breakfast was some buns with butter and jam which could've been find as we weren't there for the food. Our tour guide was super disorganized and we made a lot of unnecessary stops for photo ops. I was sick the following day and it might not have been from the lunch we had but I have a feeling it might've.I hate to write such a negative review but I was really looking forward to this day trip and it was really disappointing. We had a wonderful two weeks in Peru and this was the worst day.

Aweful Customer Service and don't seem to care for customers - Do NOT book a trip/adventure through this company Viator. My sister and I traveled to Peru in January and booked a 3 day venture to Arequipa where we were going to take this tour through the Colca Canyon. Sadly, our flight was TURNED AROUND when we were about to land in Arequipa and our booking for this tour was the following morning. We attempted to reach-out to the company and explain what had happened but their numbers did not work nor would they reply to our emails. We wanted to push our booking to the following day as our flight was moved to the following day but there was no way to get in contact with this company. There customer support is AWEFUL and I was very disappointed with the way they handled our scenario. They reached out to us a few days after our booking (when we couldn't get our money back) and told us that the event was "Out of our hands" when the event was out of our hands as well as it was the weather that did not allow us to land safely in Arequipa.

Disappointing - We were very disappointed. Were led to believe we were bird watching and ended up seeing one condor as the bus was so slow and we got to the canyon too late. Then we sat for an hour while some people had a hot spring experience. Lunch was good.
