From either of those 2 cities, you will reach the destination in 2 hours. Then, we will continue the trip by 4WD Jeep vehicle to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of the most popular Bromo’s Sunrise and the landscape views of Mt. Batok along with the highest mountain in East Java, Mt. Semeru. After witnessing the golden sunrise we move to the next ‘dish’ which is the Bromo volcano itself.
By driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, from the eruption of Mt. Bromo. In a 30 minutes-easy trekking you will get all the way to the tip of the crater and witness the trembling sound from the ‘underworld’ inside the volcano. Then, you will get your breakfast buffet before we off to your drop point.

Recommend it! - I highly recommend this experience! Our guide Sreng was amazing. The sunrise at Mount Bromo was breathtaking — just make sure to bring a warm jacket or rent one there, as it can get quite cold. Madakaripura Waterfall was absolutely magical and definitely a must-see. We were lucky to avoid the tourist crowds during the trip, which made the whole experience very pleasant and comfortable.

Bromo at sunrise with Andri - We found Trippytriptour on internet and we were so lucky to found it because Andri is a really kind and nice tour guide. He give us the best suggestions and informations about our trip to Mount Bromo. And also he was so flexible to adapting the program of the visit to our new time flight. Bromo and Madakaripura waterfall - Great experience with Sreng, we had booked our day through WhatsApp so we combined Bromo with Madakaripura waterfall (really lovely place, more magical than Tumpak Sewu and way less crowded)
We had an awesome day, would definitely recommend booking through TrippyTrip as they are very accommodating depending on what you want to do

Fantastic tour with the best guide – highly recommended! - I joined the Bromo Sunrise Tour with TrippyTrip Tour, and my guide, Sreng, made this experience unforgettable.
First of all, Sreng is not only a fantastic tour guide but also a wonderful person. His English is perfect, and he shared knowledge far beyond the tour itself – Indonesian history, Surabaya’s past and present, politics, economy, and culture. It felt like traveling with both a professional guide and a local historian.
On the tour, Sreng always cared for us, ensuring we were comfortable and safe at every moment. He knows hidden spots that other guides don’t, which gave us incredible views away from the crowds. He also helped us take many great photos (he really knows the best angles!). His personality is both friendly and professional, and I could see how well-respected he is – he seemed to know many guides and locals everywhere we went, which gave us a warm welcome everywhere.
Another thing I truly appreciated was his timing – he knew exactly when to arrive at the sunrise viewpoint and when the stars and clouds would look best. After the tour, he even recommended more places to visit in Surabaya and East Java, which shows how much he cares about giving travelers the best experience possible.
The tour itself was amazing but what made it special was Sreng’s guidance.
If you’re visiting Surabaya, I highly recommend TrippyTrip Tour and especially Sreng as your guide. It’s an experience you’ll never forget!

It's a new chapter worth exploring! - This trip was not only wonderful thanks to the travel agency's itinerary, but we're also incredibly grateful to our guide, Zidny! From the sunrises, volcanoes, and waterfalls, our trip was filled with wonderful memories.
Our guide was incredibly dedicated and made sure we fully enjoyed the trip. It was also worth noting that he felt like a traveling friend, interacting and sharing with us in a truly comfortable way.
All in all, the itinerary itself was much richer than the brief provided by the travel agency. It's a new chapter worth exploring!

Very good experincience - Our guide Pramesti was very kind and concerned that we were okay all the time. Bromo sunrise was priceless, she stayed with us during the excursion and took pictures of us with beautiful land scapes. Finally the waterfall was the perfect end, it really surprised us in a good way. Breathtaken!!

What a great experience - What a great experience! My guide Pramesti was fantastic. I chose the day trip and i can only recommend it. First we went to Mt Bromo and to viewpoint, then we went for lunch and then to the waterfall. It was amazing. I travelled alone and felt safe, it was very well organised. They also took me to the airport for an additional cost. Thanks for everything!
