Highlights
  • Rainmaker Park - The tour begins with a walk in the rainforest looking for all kinds of birds, insects, and amphibians.

Continuing the walk on the trails, you will come to the Canopy Bridge system section. This system consists of suspension bridges, built to U.S. engineering standards. The six sections total 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to create the most impressive Canopy Walk in Costa Rica. The design permits minimal forest impact, allowing our participants to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird’s eye view.

As we continue the walk in the jungle you’ll find the beautiful pristine river of the Rainmaker Park. Handrails and easy-to-follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture with photographs the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer.

Close to the end of the walk, a pristine waterfall pool will beckon you to enjoy a refreshing dip.

Hanging Bridges hike - Wonderful trails/beautiful waterfalls. Our Guide - Rolando (Rolo) was great. He worked very hard to find interesting plants/insects/animals that we wouldn't have noticed or found on our own. The hike was pretty easy - but not boring. There were several areas with large steps going up and down, and some narrow trail areas besides the hanging bridges.

Rainmaker through Jade Tours/Stephanie - We needed another activity to do on an open day and we chose the Rainmaker tour with Jade Tours. We did not know what to expect at first. Stephanie, out guide, arrived with the driver on time and we headed out. After driving some distance out of Quepos, we turned down a dirt road within a forest of palm trees. We stayed on rural roads until we arrived at the reserve. Upon arrival we were greeted and we purchased our traditional meals which we would have following our tour. This ended up being a private tour and Stephanie was amazing! My family and I traversed the rainforest on a defined single track trail up and over the hilly terrain. My kids loved the hanging bridges and the multiple views of small waterfalls. We even were able to bath in one of the falls towards the end. While Manual Antonio is amazing, we felt Rainmaker got you immersed in the rainforest with epic views and wildlife abundant. My older son (19) and Stephanie bonded over Spanish and English as he is learning Spanish and she English. Highly highly recommend this tour! Oh, and the food …. Delicious.

Rainmaker Hanging Bridge and Waterfall Tour - We loved this experience! Our guide, Stephanie, knew so much about the rainforest and could point out things that we never would have noticed without her. She paced the trip perfectly and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We’d definitely try this again because we know every time you go would be a brand new experience.

Worth your time and money! - Elias was a fantastic guide! The ATV's were smooth and easy to handle. We were on them for quite some time, too, and I even hit 50kph multiple times if that's your thing. It was fantastic getting to swim and being able to go under the waterfall. The food was also very delicious! Overall a lovely experience!

Top tour of our vacation - We had an amazing guide, Byron, who is very knowledgeable and passionate about nature. We were lucky to find frogs, lizard, snake. Byron shared ton of information about Costa Rican fauna and flora. He took lots of photos and shared them with us after the tour. Our driver was Kenny, excellent as well, car was air conditioned and comfortable. Overall 10 stars, we loved it. As a caution, this is a rigorous hike, very easy for young and fit, not easy at all for older people. I’m very happy I went although physically it was challenging.

Such a beautiful place! - This is my favorite tour in the area. Byron, our guide, pointed out various interesting aspects on the walk. The small waterfall near the end of the hike was so beautiful and refreshing after trekking up and down in the humidity. Don't hesitate - go to the Rainmaker Forest for a special treat when you're in the area.
