Fantastic tour! - Monet's garden and home were beautiful . The lunch was delightful and Versailles was magnificent! We enjoyed it immensely. Our tour guide, Natty, was absolutely wonderful. She was enthusiastic and easy to listen to. She shared her knowledge of both locations from the moment the bus started and her guidance and knowledge of Versailles was so educational and enlightening . It was a magnificent tour! Thank you!!!

Modest artist v extravagant politician living - Walking in the garden where Monet walked was so interesting, like you were walking through his paintings. Versailles was massive and impressive. Our guide had great knowledge of each of the stops. Our only additional wish would be to have more time in the gardens. There are so many and so large it takes some time to just see them from the top, much less explore a little.

Monet home gardens, Versailles - Monet and gardens were unbelievably exquisite the flowers, bridges water lilies just like in all his pictures. So glad went there prior to going to Musée Orsay, because it all became so real . The picture perfect lunch spot and lunch couldn’t have been better. Versailles was over the top. And we couldn’t have had a better guide Steve, and driver it was a perfect Day. Thank you Steve and to the driver who brought us thru Normandy what a treat! T

Fantastic combination - Monet’s Gardens were beautiful. The luncheon was delicious, and allowed us to dine at a table with several other travelers. I can not say enough about the Palace of Versailles. It was breathtaking. Unfortunately, the gardens were void of flowers. They had removed all the old flowers and had not replanted yet. It was still an amazing landscape. Oh yeah, our guide and driver were so accommodating.

How One Thing Can Spoil a Whole Day - What we saw & experienced was absolutely marvellous, but too much for 1 day. at Versailles we were rushed through each room & with the crowds, it was difficult to take photos. Our guide Elizabeth & our driver were excellent. The lunch, however was below standard. Beautiful location, but the food was disappointing. 1 person to serve everyone. the entre was tasteless, main course chicken was very dry with just cream poured over (not a sauce) & no salad. Ten at our table, one bottle of water provided & it was a hot day. Had to ask for more. 2 guests were vegetarian: entre was a tiny green salad with no dressing & for main they were served the same potato as the rest, which was fine, but the substitute for the chicken was a few green salad leaves. Both ladies were hungry. Considering the cost & quality of the tour, lunch was a complete disappointment.

Guide walked too fast so missed half the guided tour. - Overall we enjoyed the day. My main issue was with our guide who walked too fast and when we went to Giverny she walked off without us so we did not get the guided tour we paid for. She did better at Versailles after I told her three times to slow down. We did have some issues getting to lunch due to traffic problems and again our guide got off the bus and walked about 1/4 mile to the restaurant but walked so fast she lost the entire group. I really did not feel I got my money's worth because the guide kept losing us.

Speak Clearly - Versailles and Giverny were wonderful places. However, our guide did not speak English clearly, so we were unable to understand most of her comments which detracted from our experience. Also, the food at lunch was poor.
