Best Way to do Versailles - This trip was so fun and the perfect way to see the grounds surrounding Versailles. Our guide Nick was phenomenal, very welcoming and knew his stuff! Honestly, the best way I've learned about European history thus far whilst also having such a good time.

Awesome Way to See Versailles! - My husband and I had been to Versailles when we were kids - high school and college - but took a special family vacation with our two adult daughters. This was an amazing way to see and learn the history of the Versailles and the men, women and children who created it. If you have the opportunity ask for Fergus to be your guide. He was awesome and had a relatable, funny and relevant way to share the kings’ stories. Very knowledgeable, kind and attentive to all members of the group. His accent (English) was music to our American ears. Would highly recommend him and Fat Tires - very organised, punctual and fun!

Perfect way to see Versailles - Incredible tour and absolutely the best way to see Versailles. We were able to see areas of the grounds that we wouldn't have seen if we'd gone by foot. Our tour guide, Fergus, was fun, kind and extremely knowledgeable. The trip was a hit with the entire family, including our 13 year old boys!

The best way to see Versaille. - As everyone knows Versailles is huge. We knew we won't be able to cover everything but we wanted to see as much as possible. Since we both enjoy riding bikes, we decided to do a bike tour. And we are more than 100% satisfied with the tour! Our guide, Aaron, was super friendly, efficient, funny and did everything he could to cover the properties! The foods we got from the locar market were awesome, and really enjoyed the picnic.

Don’t miss this! - Visiting Versailles was amazing and should not be missed if going to Paris. This was such a fun day trip. Our guide was organized and friendly. He led us on the bike tour of the grounds. We also had a picnic lunch on the property and then end of day, went into the castle.

Great Time on Bikes at Versailles. - Cory was great at guiding us through the train and biking Versailles! We had a great time, teen daughters with us dads. The biking was actually very easy with no huffing up hills. If you don’t have a bike tour, you really don’t do the full Versailles as it’s meant to be seen and understood. You go inside as well and stay as long as you like, with a prepaid ticket for return to Paris in hand. Great time!

Biking and Walking Trianon and Versailles - I have been to Versailles before as a kid (40 years ago) but it was still impressive. Note that Versailles Palace is the last 1.5-2 hours where you are left on your own. This trip was a little too much for some on our trip (1 young adult not used to bikes) There was also lot of walking to see the farm animals. If you don’t like walking don’t do this tour. There were young kids part of the group we joined and they were able to bike/ walk and loved the farm anaimals. I loved it but you have to like walking, my favourite part was the Trianon.

Fun, but a long day! - We had a good time overall but be prepared for a long day. Cory was a knowledeable and charming guide. The day started rainy in Versailles (wished we had checked the weather and brought rain coats) but turned into a sunny beaitiful day. It's fun to ride bikes and the grounds are mostly flat, BUT I would consider spending extra to do a golf cart or vintage motorcycle with side car tour for the sake of time and less physical rigor if I did this tour again... especially with a young child or elderly. We had an 8 year old with us. She rode her own bike well, but there is still alot of walking when off the bikes. In addition, the palace tour is at the end. After we finished the bike portion, we walked to the palace and stood in a long line (at least 45 minutes) with our tour guide to get into versailles palace. We were all pretty tired by that time so it was the best we could do to run through the palace quickly. We didn't even care to get the audio guide. We were very tired. Remember you have to walk back to the train station. If you prefer a very physical experience, this is a great tour. If you want to move faster and and be a little less fatigued for the palace, do a golf cart or motorcycle with side car. Definitely buy snacks, lunch and water at the market.
