Exploring Pere Lachaise - James guided us through Pere Lachaise with interesting stories and good humor. He also kindly gave interesting directions for finding Chopin’s memorial.

Recommended - Daniel gave a great tour - a combination of famous gravesites, but also general history of the cemetery itself, along with an overview of the memorials to WW1, WW2, and the Holocaust.

I was adopted by another tour group! - Sad to say but this tour got off to a bad start. There was no tour guide and the address we were given was incorrect. There are five entrances to this huge place and the one we were given was wrong. Fortunately, another tour guide was kind enough to adopt me, so I became part of his "haunted" tour and was welcomed by the other tourists. The guide's stories were amazing, and we walked together leisurely through this most fascinating place. It was ironic that on our day there, the news broke that Jim Morrison's missing headstone had been found after many years! One note for those with knee injuries - there are many steep steps to be climbed on this tour. There is so much to see here that it would be easy to take an entire day to explore this famous resting place of the famous and regular folks.

A great tour. - Excellent journey through the huge and atmospheric Pere Lachaise cemetery. Led by the very able Sophia, we stepped back in time to learn about the well-known and not so well-known inhabitants of this most famous of cemeteries. Sophia plied us with fascinating stories about these long-gone individuals, bringing them to life once again. Highly recommend.

An off the beaten path charmer in Paris. Sophia was an amazing guide - It was well worth it! The peace and serenity of the cemetery was quite nice. Just the sculptures, history and the stories of the ‘residents’ gave an excellent overview of what Paris meant to so many! Our guide was Sophia! She WAS excellent. Her insight and knowledge of the grounds made a huge difference with this daubting expanse of land. Rock on Sophie!

Pere Lachaise amazing but tour mediocre - The good – would’ve been very challenging to find graves on your own.
The mediocre - the tour was very slow and skimpy on actual information while heavy on speculation.

Disappointing - The directions for the meet up point were vague & confusing, and despite being before ‘on time’, we could not find the guide. We completed the ‘tour’ of the cemetery by ourselves. We’ve ’lost our money’

Do not book with this tour. - No communication. Guide was not there to meet us at the pick up location. Did not text us, or email. Couldn’t find him. Didn’t respond to any text messages. Absolutely the worst experience. Did not get to go on the tour expect a full refund.
