Highlights

The ride is not strenuous at all; it’s actually quite relaxing, invigorating, and enjoyable. Regular stops are made for photo opportunities. While there is more riding and slightly less information compared to the day tours, experiencing the city at night is truly spectacular! Cruise through Paris as it illuminates, enjoying views from both bike and boat (with complimentary wine on the boat cruise). The atmosphere is more laid-back, with the wine helping everyone to unwind.

Highlights of the Paris Night Bike Tour include:
• Notre Dame - the world’s most renowned cathedral. Discover the famous flying buttresses, the cathedral’s rich history, and how Paris’s origins trace back to the Ile de la Cite.
• The Boat Cruise - the tour’s most popular activity is a one-hour cruise on the Seine, passing through the heart of the illuminated “City of Light.” Sail past landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, Hotel de Ville, and Musee D’Orsay.
• The Louvre Museum - a truly enchanting place at night. Standing in the Louvre’s back courtyard feels like stepping back into medieval times.
• Berthillon Ice Cream - the most famous ice cream shop in Paris. Choose from about 20 flavors while your guide shares the early history of Paris. Enjoy your treat on the Pont St. Louis, which connects the Ile de la Cite and the Ile St. Louis, offering one of the city’s most beautiful views.

You will also see the Eiffel Tower, the Cite and St. Louis islands, St. Chapelle, the Latin Quarter, Academie Francaise, the Pont des Arts, the Champs-Elysees, Princess Di’s Flame, the Arc de Triomphe, and much more!

Go, Fabian! - Fabian was the most amazing tour guide, ever!!! His knowledge is unmatched, and his joy in sharing it is contagious! He is enthusiastic - a self declared history nerd - and absolutely made my trip!!! I would do this again in a heartbeat! And here's a shout out to his mom - your son is doing you proud, Ma'am! If you don't want to hear fascinating stories about history as you ride, then find another tour because this one is (fortunately) jam-packed with knowledge! (Oh, and Fabian's a wonder with fixing bikes and scrapes, too. ; )

Fantastique!! - What a wonderful way to see the city! Soto was a great guide, full of interesting information about Paris and in full command of our motley group. Everything was well organized and easy, from the bike set up to the boat ride and drinks. We’re ready to hop on rental bikes to get around the city for the remainder of our stay. Thank you so much for a perfect first evening in Paris!! My kids even enjoyed it and that says a lot!

Paris at Night? What a delight. Great!, Long! Pain in the Booty! Face Plant! - I want to start by saying this was the best part of our Paris trip! I do also want to mention some important things for this tour that I wish I had in reading the reviews prior to booking. While still home I found this tour on TripAdvisor and some of my friends had mentioned it as well. I was VERY hesitant as I am well over 200++ pounds and have bad knees. I bit the bullet and booked it anyways. I was super excited up until we arrived when the excitement turned into a bit of fear. It had been years since I rode a bike, my daughter and I have small people problems and as mentioned I'm over weight. Anyhow, I walked in with my family and immediately felt confident, welcomed, warm and kind staff. Like family. The others riding that day happen to be 80% from where we were. Some almost neighbors which was so comforting. We had the pleasure of having Fabian as our tour guide on this Night Bike Tour. Mrs. Mom of Fabian, you did good. He's wonderful. Fabian was thorough, kind, helpful and patient. He explained all the rules, reassured us of what could happen, what locals do to scare you and yet, took us through It all with ease. There is like 13-15 stops, he educated us on the history of the church peaks, which I thought was super cool, we got to see the Paris highlights at our pace. The ice cream stop is still my most favorite. Take a lock if you want to try to find a space to place it, we missed out on that... The boat ride at the, almost, end was wonderful. Fabian had drinks for us and we got to see the Eiffel Tour lit up and sparkle even though it was not completely dark it was absolutely perfect. Fabian gave just enough tour, history, and time needed to appreciate and properly embrace the whole tour. The tour was wonderful. Thank you Fat Tire Tours & Fabian. Now! Here is the details for those that want more of the physical aspect. I didn't think I was going to make it back. My husband and daughter were just fine. The bikes have the hardest seat imaginable and my butt was bruised for days, not great when this was day one of our Paris trip. It would be nice if they offered better seats for their bikes since it's like a 3:30 hour tour. Even a motorized options for the over weight folks. Take a water bottle. We forgot ours and we were all extremely thirsty. The bottle of water I believe would have helped me push through a bit more. If you do not exercise frequently and are over weight I would really think this through. It was a great experience, I am glad I pulled though and finished and with the exclusion of the seat and water would probably do it again as it saved us from having to wonder about places to go since we saw so much that night. BUT, I was in pain for days, we slept in the next day as exhaustion set and its a 3 hour bike tour, boat ride then another 30 minute track back to the shop to drop off bikes. I hope I help anyone with a little more junk in the truck with my review. Either way, thank you Fat Tire Tours and Fabian, it was an amazing time and tour.
