Montmartre with a local - Olivia was great. Friendly knowledgeable and good to talk to. This was much more than a food tour. There was history art and local secrets. Even though we ended up at the top of the hill it wasn’t strenuous. The pace was just right and the food was good too

Nella was great. Don’t see Montmartre any other way. - Our tour guide was Nella and she was excellent. She is a resident of Monte Martre knows most of the local merchants and food vendors. She know the back roads and the back stories of Monte Martel and will for a real glimpse of this important Paris neighborhood. Those taking the little train to the top near the Sacred Heart church, and the mass of humanity and trinket shops won’t get the real picture.

Walking Food Tour - Livia was a lovely guide and she navigated us through the must-taste high points! Luckily, we happened to be there for the Montmartre wine festival and she advised us to partake in the festivities! Perhaps our best day of all! (Weather was beautiful that day too). Her tidbits of information and history added so much to the experience.

Lovely walking food tour - Lovely walking food tour with a knowledgeable local host. It’s a private tour so you are able to cater it to your needs, which was helpful to my parents slower pace.

A Montmartre evening tour with our friend Andrea - Andrea was like a friend sharing a few hours of what the locals might do in Montmartre on a Sunday evening (5-8 pm). Walking up the hill, avoiding the stairs, we strolled along the vibrant streets. We stopped at a wonderful cafe with a nice view of Paris. We enjoyed a bottle of Bourgogne along with a charcuterie board with delicious cheeses and meats, and a crusty, traditional, baguette. Andrea happily blended in some things we wanted to do, like going to see the Wall of Love, as we came down from seeing the Basilica. And we ended with another bottle of wine (a Brouilly) and our request to have some French Onion soup ;-) It turns out that Andrea has lived and worked in the USA (NYC and California). With an eye towards history, he grew to love and admire the spirit of the freedom of the USA breaking away from England, but also what it did for the whole world. As I said, being on a walking tour with Andrea was more like meeting a friend who shared the joys of his city, and how to enjoy a relaxed time in a cafe chatting and drinking wine.
